1. GSP - Just like Canada as a country, He's p4p The BEST. Can't envision him losing 2. Fedor - The man comes to fight, A legend. Who else would take risk like he does when he couldve KOed Werdum standing up? He wants to please the fans. GOAT. 3. Shogun - Im not convinced yet. Lots of technical flaws but you have to put him there for beating a mythical fighter in Machida 4. Aldo - Always wary of WEC little guys, they're great today, gone tomorrow. (see. Faber, Brown, Torres etc). But his technique is what separates him. 5. BJ Penn - Pure class, arguably won the Edgar fight and didnt make a fuss. He wins the rematch. 6. Edgar - Love the little guy. Fearless and confident but his size maybe his downfall. 7. Cung Le - Excitement every fight. Tremendous skills and you cant argue with the result. I'll put it this way, had this guy started at 22, he may have been the GOAT. 8. Machida - Another technique guy. Besides Shogun, who can beat this guy? If he wins the rubber match, hes back on top. 9. Shields - love him or hate him, the way he surprisingly handled Hendo was impressive. Hes not a big guy either. The guy wins. 10. JDS - Hes the new breed of HW. Hands as fast as Vitor but better technique. If hes anywhere near like Prime Liddell in stuffing the takedown. Its going to be a painful reign at HW. Hon Mention: Rashad, Jones, Koscheck, Silva (Thiago), Alves, Florian, Fitch.
I agree with number 1. GSP always number 1 the most well rounded fighter in the world! and i love fedor but when a fighter loses he goes down in the rankings especially p4p rankings and it was to an unranked fighter when he has a rematch and fuks werdum up then he can go bak! also i hate anderson as much as any1 but the guys a fukin killer and to not rank him top 10 is stupid imo!
I know this is only your opinion but this list is slightly ****ed up in places. For a start having Silva at anything less than No. 1 Is MADNESS, never mind not having him on the list. It does not matter if BJ 'will' win the rematch he lost to Edgar fair and square, keeping him ahead of Edgar is just plain daft. Cung Le is entertaining, but there is no way he is p4p top 10 until he has at least 2 more wins against top opposition. The fact is, FEDOR LOST TO WERDUM, it may not make him any less of a fighter, but he lost to a guy that barely manages to enter the p4p top 20.
Hes also never fought a fighter that was even top 20 in his weight class and you have him ranked 7 pfp. Think about that for a sec.
1. Anderson Silva 2. GSP 3. Shogun 4. Shields 5. Aldo 6. Edgar 7. Machida 8. Fedor 9. JDS 10. Evans 11. Fitch 12. John Jones 13. Cung Le 14. King Mo Lawal 15. BJ Penn Lesnar would be around 10 if he beats Carwin. Koscheck would be 14 but im moving him down in advance for after he gets destroyed by GSP. If Nelson can somehow beat JDS he moves up to 9 to replace JDS. Maybe Jones should not be so high, but he is awesome so its allowed. Carwin would be around 17 his wins are not great, but its HOW he has been winning. As for Silva being Ahead of GSP, its a little like Pac - May, they are both ****ing awesome and there is nothing between them, personally its Anderson who is #1 all the way for me because of his style and how easily he has despatched top guys.
1.GSP the most well roung complete fighter today! 2.A. Silva deadly striker good bjj not the best wrestler! 3.Shogun finaly brought his pride form back! 4.Aldo mauy thai wrecking machine and from what he shown good bjj apparently its very very very good! not seen much of it tho! 5.Frankie Edgar here because he beat bj and was already on a decent run (unlike werdum) 6.BJ Penn when on form 1 of the very best! 7.Jon Fitch hes only lost to GSP in the last well i dont know how long and has beat some very good fighters! 8.Thiago Alves great striker 1 of the best, great tdd good defensive bjj! 9.Lyoto Machida seemed unbeatable before rua! 10.Overeem strange choice but i think hes gonna be a beast and untill fedors return hes the best hw, striking is probably the best in mma beat hari in k1 fuked rogers up bad and has great bjj! fedor was my no.2 guy till sat and werdum was hardly top 20 so i cant put him in till he wins the rematch!
Seriously, I'd put Anderson no higher than 3rd at this point. His wins aren't that impressive as of late. Shogun in two fights have fought Machida twice I'd even say that Penn has fought superb comp than Silva. Aldo has matrixed everyone he has fought.
