My official prediction is Pacquiao KO 4. Yes I predicted Pac over Hatton by early KO and made a thread about it and posted it here in ESB. Since then I made only one other prediction thread which was Vitali over Arreola by KO 4 I was obviously wrong about that one. Pac / Cotto could end a helluva lot of ways. What I see happening is Cotto wanting to come out defensively but the crowd spurring him on, and I think he is going to get hurt in the first round. I see some weird chaos happening, some sort of foul from Cotto in the second, a low blow or something. But it won't work. By the end of three rounds he will be badly hurt and Roach will tell Manny to go out for the kill and Manny will deliever in the fourth. Manny has will have nearly equal power to Cotto at welter, far greater speed, and his camp and sparring were far better despite everything. Cotto isn't as well prepared, a bit damaged from Margarito quite possibly, his hydration process will be oh so slightly off at 145 instead of 146, but the main thing will be the speed of Manny plus the power, the blistering blinding speed / power combo that will hurt Cotto early inside. Plus, Cotto doesn't have any kind of reach advantage here so he can't stay outside. Now I didn't bet the house on this one, I bet a lot more on the Hatton fight, and certainly things COULD go the other way, Miguel Cotto could come out and time a great shot and knock out Pacquiao, but I like the odds of it going the other way quite a bit. This content is protected Bet on it! I did. I also took the first round ko too. and "to win" The big play is NEXT week, Kessler over Ward, if you want to make a bet here, make a small bet Pacquiao by decision. I took KO props in rounds 1 and rounds 4, I took Rowland to upset Chavez Jr but it probably won't happen but I like the odds, I took the under on Gomez vs Karass because these guys AT THE LAST MINUTE agreed to fight with eight ounce gloves which is tiny for welterweights, which will make this a bloody and quite possibly short fight. I took Manny by decision just in case he can't knock Cotto out early. Dangerous fight, dangerous bets, everything can go to hell with one big Cotto shot - easily. Manny by KO in the first round is 22 to 1, normally a bet of this nature is more like 50 to 1 so many are on this bet. You might want to put something small here and something a bit more on decision so you still win money if its a decision. I stayed away from Foreman / Santos, the over isn't a bad play but the value isn't great, and its possible Santos overwhelms him, he will be amped for this fight. On the other hand, Santos was fat as a cow when he challenged Cintron a few weeks ago and he has been inactive for a long time so maybe Foreman can barely squeak by a dancing feather fisted display of tag. traight Wager 11/14/09 15:41 ET bet 280.00 to win 100.00 Result: Pending Cotto vs Pacquiao Miguel Cotto 11/14/2009(22:30 ET) Manny Pacquiao -280 Future Wager 11/14/09 15:40 ET bet 20.00 to win 280.00 Result: Pending Manny Pacquiao vs - Round Betting (Both Fighters Must start for Action)(If the fight goes the distance then any bets on either fighter to win in Round 12 lose) dRound 4 Manny Pacquiao win 11/14/09(22:30 ET) 14/1 Future Wager 11/14/09 15:33 ET bet 20.00 to win 440.00 Result: Pending Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto - Round Betting (Both Fighters Must start for Action)(If the fight goes the distance then any bets on either fighter to win in Round 12 lose) aRound 1 Manny Pacquiao win 11/14/09(22:30 ET) 22/1 Straight Wager 11/14/09 15:28 ET bet 100.00 to win 230.00 Result: Pending Gomez vs Karass Round Prop Round Prop Round Prop 11/14/2009(22:00 ET) Under 9.5 (+230) Straight Wager 11/14/09 15:25 ET bet 50.00 to win 287.50 Result: Pending Chavez Jr. vs Rowland Julio Cesar Chavez Jr Troy Rowland 11/14/2009(21:10 ET) Troy Rowland +575
It makes me laugh everytime I hear that Cotto hasn't been the same since Margarito or that the Margarito fight "damaged" him. He's only had 2 fights since Margarito! In his first fight back he destroyed his opponent in 5 rounds knocking him down I believe 3 times, and in the other he managed to win despite fighting almost the entire fight with a huge gash over his eye. How exactly is Cotto "not the same"?
