Personally I thought Mosley won, but even though he lost the decision, I hope he retires and I hope Cotto goes on to become a Hall of Famer, because this would still be a great way for Mosley to end his career. Passing the torch to a great, young fighter and giving him a war in the doing is a very poetic career ending. Thoughts on the actual FIGHT, I thought it was amazing, I've never seen two people wrestling on their feet like this and mauling at each other at the same time, it was beautiful, and when I say beautiful I really mean it. As beautiful as violence can get.
Great rundown of the fight. It's rare that someone can win by losing, but Mosley did it. A perfect passing of the torch as he rides away. Excellent.
Great story line on passing the torch. What surprised me was that Shane did not fight the fight he should have or did Miguel negate all the advantages Shane held with his tenacity and youth? I just think he and his dad forgot about what they needed to tactically to break Cotto down...Where was his jab and reach advantage throughout the fight... also thought his spacing was all wrong which is why he kept getting popped by cotto's jab and counter right hands. I agree that this should be his last hurrah...Theres nothing left to prove.
