I finally got to watch it on demand lastnight and I will be honest, I only watched up to the end of rd 9 because I had to go but to me it looked like diaz was winning, unless im missed alot on those last rds diaz was landing all the harder shots and and controlling the pace. yea paulie may have landed more but his shots were ineffective. I honestly dont see what all the complaining was about now that I actually got to see most of it.

I had it 6-4 going into the 12th fir Diaz. I'll admit, I was been somewhat swayed by HBO.

I actually gave Diaz almost every rd from 1 to 9. i stopped watching it because I knew he should have been up enough in point to secure his win, there was no chance of paulie knocking him or anyone else for that matter out.

I thought Paulie probably won the last rounds...The rounds you didn't see. Anyways, I thought Paulie edged it out. Whenever I first started watching the fight to (after hearing all the complaints) I thought I was going to see a boxing clinic. I watch the first rounds, and was like WTF?! WHere's the robbery? Later on I notice how Paulie throws more, lands more, and Diaz honestly lands nothing meaningful really. I don't think Paulie ever was going out. Of course he landed more flashier, but that's cuz he throws 5, and connects with one big one. Paulie threw 5, and connects with 2 or 3 decent shots....
I could have seen a draw...Maybe somebody having Diaz by 1 point or something, but, BUT....Bbbbbuuuuuttttt 116-112? 118-110?!!! :bart

I think Diaz edged it. I had it 115-113 JD. I thought Paulie was boxing and moving nicely, but Diaz blocked most of the shots and, when he got inside, landed the cleaner punches and added some good bodywork.

Paulie edged out for me in the rounds you missed. Very close fight though.

i ssee now im going to have to watch the fight again, everyone is saying paulie won the later rds that I missed and I always seem to notice more the 2nd time around. like when i watched clottey vs cotto, thought clottey got cheated the first time but after watching it again it did look like cotto won.

Honestly, this decision is controversial but no more controversial than Hagler V Hearns, Chavez vs Whitaker, Marquez vs Pac I. Boxing is full of controversy. Paulie may have been a victim but his behavior during the post fight interview was childish.

Paulie has to realize that boxing has changed. Like Kelleraman says the market dictated the winner--the judges picked the crowd pleaser as the winner. Paulie aside form the cuts he caused on Diaz never hurt him. Whereas, Diaz dictated the fight. Diaz was in control of the pace and the initiator of the action. Paulie would have won that fight more than ten years ago. I am still bothered by poor decisions however you have to move on like a man. it was disappointing to hear Paulie say he "only fights for the big payday"

I scored the fight a draw but I could see either person winning.

Paulie is a very good boxer but since Cotto he is no longer champion materiel. He should be happy he got this fight as I dont think he deserves another shot after his crying.

I thought it was very close rd and I liked Mailiggnaggi's work just a bit better than Diaz in this rd.
