That maybe true, but P4P if there were no weight class restrictions and everyone was forced to face everyone, regardless of weight and size, Wlad would be the King of Boxing and Mayweather & Pacquiao would all get beaten. At 6'7 he is not required to do what a 5'6-5'10 guy does. You use what you have and perfect it. And that's what Wlad did, perfect his boxing skill and utilize his assets to the best of his ability without wasting unnecessary energy. Now that may be unfair to say but you can't ignore how dominant he is and simply dismiss it as him being just a big buffoon either. Valuev is even bigger but he aint go the skills of a Wlad.
Very good job overall. However, either shorten the video or put in more than one song. The list itself was pretty good. Most people just copy what they see in Ring Magazine or some other publication and shuffle around the order. I don't agree with your list entirely, but you make a good argument with your criteria.
Very nice video though i don't personally agree Berto is not top 10 and Williams should not be that high if on there at all
Given your criteria I'm not sure how you can leave Haye out and put in Berto/Alexander!?!? Also your list seems heavily favoured towards fast American fighters. Good video though.
1st 5 are very good i personally would swap williams and dawson... big time American bias here in the bottom half I would not put Berto Bradley Alexander or Ward in there..... Ward has one win over Kessler thats about it Alexander has one win over Urango thats about it Berto maybe he has several quality wins and a several year title reign What about Calderon or Donaire or Juan Manuel Marquez or Moseley even though he lost Hopkins should atleast be in the 10 maybe at 10 but his last few wins like Wright and Tarver and Jones and Pavlik warrant top 10 and way better than anything the bottom 5 have done
lets see great jab good foot work trains hard very smart hard to hit hell of a punch why would him being a welter weight make him become a bad fighter there are tall lighter weights like Hearns and Williams and Cabellero who are six foot plus at smaller weight classes what if Wlad was a six foot welter vs guys like 5'6 and 5'8 he'd be able to fight essnetially the same way and win the same way
Given my criteria, Haye's weakness is his (Activity) level. How many fights has he had since he came on to the scene Vs Enzo Maccarinelli in March 2008? 3 fights, and one against the worst title holder in Valuev, who basically lost to a 45 year old Holyfield a fight before that. And traditionally nobody ever puts heavyweights in their list, regardless of how good, so I decided if i'm gonna put one in, i'm gonna put in the best and most active fighter in Wlad. Vitali could've been a choice too but I liked Wlad's youtube calling out Haye and flexing his muscles (no homo) and had to use it. No bias towards americans, appreciate your input though.
No problems with what you're saying other than Marquez & Mosley. I have to explain myself on this. I get it, that in tradition ranking, based on their resume, they still make it to the top 10. But according to my criterias, Mosley hasn't won a fight since early 2009, just lost vs Mayweather and probably won't fight until the end of this year if at all. Marquez didn't win in over 12 months either, just lost to Mayweather (granted the best fighter but lost nonetheless) and is about to fight a irrelevant rematch vs Diaz.
Nice video, but Wlad doesn't belong on any P4P lists, and it's too early for Berto, Ward, or Alexander. I do agree with Paul Williams, Dawson, and Bradley however. Juan Manuel Marquez is still a top 10 guy as well.
Love Gamboa, and he almost fits in with the Bradley's and Alexander's in this list. In fact i'll give him and JuanMa one more fight each, and see how they do before considering breaking them in the top 10. With that said, JuanMa still didn't even win the real WBA Featherweight Title that Chris John holds. But because of Sanctioning body B.S. politics, he got the "Regular" title and John has the "Super" WBA title. How that happened, I don't know but they need "unify" that **** ASAP. It's ridiculous.
Can you not see the hypocrisy in you saying Haye hasn't been active enough and yet having Mayweather number 1?!?! And if you think Haye "came on to the scene" with his victory over Enzo, you clearly missed his biggest victory in Mormeck's backyard. Jesus I don't even like Haye and I feel like I'm defending him!!! And how can you justify having the likes of Berto and Alexander over Calderon, Juanma and Donaire?? Urango is better known than the top 10 guys at the lower weights, but is certainly no better fighter. Your list is basically your favourite fighters that haven't been beaten in a while. Sorry I don't agree with it at all, and it screams of someone that watches only a limited amount of boxing and buys into HBO hype.
