Its baffling how some folks put JMM aheady of Pac when he has a draw and a loss against him. Not to mention was put on his ass a total of 4 times to Pac's 0. I thought this was a boxing site for knowledgeable posters.

A lot of people scored the second fight in Marquez's favour.

You might not agree, but it's hardly 'baffling'.

Fact: JMM record against Pac is 0-1-1.

This doesnt make him better than Pac. You want to make him a close second in your rankings, I'm fine with that but that's as far as you can go.

If they are my rankings based on subjective criteria, then why would it make any sense to base any part of it on subjective judgements that other individuals have made that differ from my own?

It's like saying asking someone for a list of what they believe to be the best flavours of ice cream, then criticising them for putting chocolate first because a panel of food tasters had named vanilla as the best flavour.

He did actually, and I agree.

Vasquez and Marquez are inactive, they have not fought for almost 1 year. And by doing the trilogy they completely ignored any other fighters in their division - which is a pretty good division.

Did they really fight the best in their division? What about Caballero, Penalosa and the rest of the top fighters who've challenged them repeatedly but got ignored? Are they still the same fighters they were 2 years ago? Who knows.

You can't have a P4P ranking based on facts. That's the whole point. It's based on subjective judgements.

What the hell has Abraham done to be deserving of P4P top 10? He has yet to beat anyone better than a B-level fighter. His best win is Khoren Gevor for christ's sake. I can see where he might be rated decently, but anyone who rates him top 10 probably should have Chad Dawson in there ahead of him, based on quality of wins in undefeated record.

    My top 10:
    1) Pacquiao
    2) Hopkins
    3) Marquez (sorry folks, he lost to Pac, and I didn't rate Casamayor or Diaz that highly)

    -big gap-

    4) Mosley
    5) Cotto
    6) Williams
    7) Hatton
    8) Darchinyan
    9) Dawson
    10) Calderon

Vasquez and R. Marquez have dropped out due to being inactive for over a year. Once they fight again, they'll pop back in.
