I just have a problem placing fighters who just lost there last fight on the list when theres other fighters who are skilled and can be deserving of an opportunity to be on the list..
Taylor didn't beat Wright though. I don't think you are a boxing fan at all. This thread has been depressing. :-(
yeah your right I apologize it was a draw happy? yeah and despressing to me is people downplaying a fighters accomplishments with exuses and im huge fan of the sweet science. how bout yourself? or are you stuck in the 80s with arguello and pryor?
Agreed.... He just disgraced himself, BUT, it just goes to show how much the sport has fallen as of late....:-( Can you think of an era of "WEAKER" p4p fighters
I agree with these 3 as the best in the sport right now & it doesnt matter which order you put them because there is very little to choose between them IMO. :thumbsup
Haye a top 10 P4P, I really don't think I would put him in there and no way higher than Israel Vazquez, R Marquez and Ivan Calderon. But then again is your list
it's easy to pick apart someone else's list an not post your own. My p4p is all about who I think is better than who relative to their division and taking into consideration the overall strength of the division too. 1. Pac (LW) 2. JMM (LW) 3. Mijares (SFlyW) 4. Calzaghe (LHW) 5. Pavlik (MW) 6. Chris John (FW) 7. Margarito (WW) 8. Kessler (SMW) 9. Wlad (HW) 10. Hopkins (LHW) 11. Vasquez (SBW) 12. Abraham (MW) 13. Donaire (FlyW) 14. Miguel Cotto (WW) 15. Steve Molitor (SBW) 16. Jorge Linares (FW) 17. Fernando Montiel (SFlyW) 18. Lucian Bute (SMW) 19. Nate Campbell (LW) 20. Shane Mosley (WW) 21. Haye (HW) 22. Daniel Santos (SWW) 23. Ricky Hatton (SLW) 24. Paul Williams (WW) 25. Rafa Marquez (SBW) I know my list sucks and is very subjective, but at least I tried. Other fighters i considered were : 26. Joan Guzman (LW) 27. Jermain Taylor (SMW) 28. Andre Berto (WW) 29. Ivan Calderon (Jr Fly) 30. Timothy Bradly (SLW) 31. Steve Cunningham (CW) 32. Antonio Tarver (LHW) 33. Chad Dawson (LHW) 34. Joshua Clottey (WW) 35. Juan Diaz (LW) 36. Celestino Caballero (SBW) - Sergei Dzinziruk (SWW) but I don't know anyhting about him so I left him out
I see I didnt get any responses from the posters i quoted earlier.. and like i posted before whats wrong with having the undisputed cruiserweight champion on there?.. not to mention he has amazing natural talent..
I got Haye down around 20 becasue if he was fighting at CW he would be much better than all the other competition but at HW lets say he weighs in at 225-235, i don't think he is that much better than other fighters at 225-235
Anyone who has Israel Vasquez lower than 5 clearly doesn't know too much about boxing. Another thing..... Why should a guy lose his place if he lost his last fight? Surely the quality of opposition should be taken into question, otherwise you could pad up with 50 bums and claim to be #1
I see despite all the criticisms you've circled me out, despite the fact I provided constructive criticism and merely voiced my disagreement. Anyway. :smile Pound-For-Pound Top 15 :smile This content is protected Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao This content is protected Juan Manuel 'Dinamita' Marquez This content is protected Joe 'The Pride Of Wales' Calzaghe This content is protected Cristian 'El Diamante' Mijares This content is protected Israel 'Magnifico' Vasquez This content is protected Rafael 'Dinamita' Marquez This content is protected Kelly 'The Ghost' Pavlik This content is protected Antonio 'The Tijuana Tornado' Margarito This content is protected Ivan 'Iron Boy' Calderon This content is protected Bernard 'The Executioner' Hopkins This content is protected Miguel 'Junito' Cotto This content is protected Nate 'Galaxy Warrior' Campbell This content is protected Nonito 'The Filipino Flash' Donaire This content is protected 'King' Arthur Abraham This content is protected David 'The Hayemaker' Haye I'm happy to explain any queries you have.
dont make a list unless your prepared to be wrapped on it. i agree on manny then joe i would put jmm third pavlik down to seven and why havent you put vasquez in there....?????????
My top 20 p4p just now is: 1.Manny Pacquiao 2.Juan Manuel Marquez 3.Joe Calzaghe 4.Israel Vasquez 5.Cristian Mijares 6.Kelly Pavlik 7.Antonio Margarito 8.Bernard Hopkins 9.Ivan Calderon 10.Rafael Marquez 11.Arthur Abraham 12.Paul Williams 13.David Haye 14.Miguel Cotto 15.Nate Campbell 16.Juan Diaz 17.Chris John 18.Mikkel Kessler 19.Ricky Hatton 20.Chad Dawson
i have a prob w/ putting jmm in the top 2 p4p ahead of joecal when he still hasn't beaten a top 10 p4p fighter yet. pac has done this about 4-5x already (sasakul, mab, erik and jmm) while calzaghe has done it once (hopkins). jmm's best results so far are his draw w/ pac, win vs. mab (not anymore a top 10 p4p fighter at that time) and his KO of casa (marginal top 15 p4p).
