    He arguably wasn't even in the top five Bantams of his era.

    Sorry I didn't respond earlier, I left the forum yesterday just after I'd given you the definitive top 25. I genuinely think your list is garbage, totally biased for 70s and 80s fighters, and against 90s and 00s fighters. There are guys on there who should never be near that list.

    Oh, and I left Ali out because I prefer to think of him as a 60s fighter. The guy who beat Liston and was the fastest most brilliant heavyweight in history was not the same guy who struggled manfully with Frazier and Norton. I'll whisper it because I don't want a storm of abuse for saying it: I don't think the 1970s Ali was all that amazing. Good yes, amazing not so much. Tyson, Lewis and Holmes would all have beaten him IMO. I think the 1960s Ali was the 2nd best fighter in history p4p though.

    Had to get rid of him. I had high hopes for Dwight he really looked hot at one point beating up on Saad and Eddie Davis, two top notch fighters. But he literally sleep walked thru his big fight with Spinks. I don't know if the fight was fixed and he just eased off or what. So instead I put Mike in at the request of JT.

    But....that fight was a real dissapointment.

    Holyfield is a good solid fighter but you know I can't go along with the Farhood assessment. He actually ranked Evander third behind Ali and Louis. :lol: :nut

    Guys like Farhood have always jumped the gun on fighters they like. That's why KO, IB, WB and BBB turned south. And who reads Ring magazine anyomre?

    I guess I could have given a higher grade to some of today's headliners but I came along earlier and have seen the best of the best of the best.

    What do you want I gave the #2 spot to Roy Jones and I have no problem with those who give him the #1 spot.

    And I hate to contradict you but I actually placed on of the 80s top stars, Ray Leonard down at the bottom and some have said he's been placed too low. Will you guys make up your mind.

    Cuevas-champion for 4 years

    Chandler-champ for 4 years

    Norris-a top headliner from the 90s

    Oscar-top headliner and Oscar was more than just hype.

    Personally I don't think you've seen Galindez as I have. The man was fearless and powerful and he had some skill too. I personally believe he would have beat Foster had they met at the time. Together with his counterpart Conteh they dominated for 4 years. Saad Muhammud deserves a ranking as much as anyone. I suggest you watch the Johnson-Saad Muhammud and Yaqui Lopez. It'll make you forget all about those pretty boys :hey

    last thing. Ali was voted fighter of the year in 72, 74, 75 so he has the credentials. ALi didn't really have the competition in the 60s other than Floyd, Liston, and Moore. It was against the bigger, newer, faster, younger, more capable heavies that he finally won the respect

    I'm looking real hard but cant see Monzon anywhere. Are you sure Jackson makes the list and Monzon doesnt??
