I think what both of these fighters should do is questionable. But here is my plan for both of them, leading to a PBF showdown. First, Two serious warm-ups. For Ortiz, I say each fight should be against one of the following, Andre Berto II, Paulie Malignaggi, Devon Alexander Jan Zaveck, or even Randall Bailey. I just want them to be ready and more experienced. If I had to pick from this list to start for Ortiz, I say Malignaggi or Zaveck first, Both will fight, Yet aren't favored, Different styles, nice tests. Assuming he gets past this, I recommend a Berto or Devon Alexander ( Alexander is Moving to 147 ) style opponent, Another test, But a small step up from Malignaggi or Zaveck, Both fighters will proof troublesome ( Berto did already ) and prepare him for a showdown with Khan winner gets Floyd. As a warm up for Khan, to start he can fight Peterson as planned, Then he can fight his 147lb debut, I recommend a guy like Kell Brook or Mike Jones, Get used to a violent fighter, See how he feels at 147. Now assuming both fighters get through these hard warm ups the winner of an Ortiz-Khan showdown is a legit #3 Welterweight behind Pac and Floyd and a prepared Floyd Mayweather 2012-2013 challenger.

This is what Ortiz should have done in the first place instead of running to a payday. But then again I wouldn't turn down a KO combo for 2 million....
