I like everyone here was thrilled about this fight and I thought like many here that this fight was a pick em when it was first signed. I now realize that Cotto doesn't have a prayer and it's forces outside of the ring that will be his downfall. The shady stuff about the WBC and the GGG step aside money will make it almost impossible for Cotto to win a decision in this fight. I will go as far and say they will even rob Cotto even if wins by a wide UD 9-3 type of fight because of it. Cotto isn't knocking out Canelo either so he really has no shot. I have no favorite in this fight I feel about the same about both guys don't hate them but not really big fans of them either. I have no agenda here.

If this fight was going to be judged fairly I can see a good case for both men winning. I can see a scenario that Cotto's movement and superior boxing ability would frustrate Canelo and see him the win. I could also see a scenario of Cotto trying to stand his ground against Canelo and getting worn down by the more durable fighter and either getting stopped or beat.

I hate that it has come to this but this is just my honest opinion and I just see no way that Cotto can win a decision with all the out of the ring stuff surrounding him at the moment. Canelo by decision is my pick.

Way to lay it on the line, Pump C
    Cotto will be robbed
    Or He may lose fairly
That breaks down as two scenarios
    Cotto will outbox Canelo
    Or Canelo will outbox Cotto
And the judges may see it one way
Or they may see it another way
Oh you also say Cotto may be stopped
    or beat
Oh neat, what a clear prediction
    You know **** about boxin

    Someone quote me
    So Pump C can see
    His stupidity

If Cotto gets robbed than that's just as blatant as it gets, something has to be done with WBC. I agree, I can see **** like this happening, but I think Canelo will score a late stoppage anyhow.

Could be right, if anyone gets stopped it would be Cotto. I just think there's just too much going on surrounding Cotto for him to really get a fair shake from the judges. Canelo is also much younger and Cotto is on his way out.

He pretty much is covering all his bases which means he doesn't have a clue who will win on Saturday night.

Canelo as clear as can be.

Cotto wont outbox Canelo at center ring, which means he'll have to lead and take the fight to Canelo if he's to stand a punchers chance. That imo will lead to Canelo getting the best of the hard exchanges between them.
Cotto will wilt somewhere past the midpoint and he'll either get stopped or quit on his stool.

The only way I see Cotto seeing the final bell is for him to go into survival mode and dance the laterals without offering any type of effective punching toward Canelo. The Puertoricans will call it boxing but everyone else will know Cotto is in survival mode.

    Canelo wins hands down!!!

That's how you make a pick Pimp C! :yep

I know who will win and it will be Canelo. With that said I couldn't care less who wins.

    Oooooh

He picks the favorite to win
    How progressive
    And passive aggressive
But lets not leave out the possibility
    Cotto will outbox him clearly
    And be robbed
    Or not be robbed
    Or stopped
    Or not stopped
    And if hes wrong
    He don't care
    How self aware

Same, well I want Cotto to win but that's purely so that the belt goes to GGG, before that I was hoping for a Canelo victory.

Is it just me that's not feeling all that hyped about this fight? I thought I'd be more excited for it but I find myself caring very little.

Here's my prediction. Canelo may fail to make weight on the first try.

Here is another prediction. Outside of a robbery, Cotto should win this fight by 8-4 or late TKO.

    Ok, but answer clearly
Are you picking Canelo to win fairly?

I can respect that, my vibe from you is that you think its a 50/50 type of matchup but you're picking Canelo because its more likely the judges see it his way if the rounds are competitive and close.
    Fair enough!
