Sounds about right, even though I think it'll be Canelo by late stoppage, I could also see it going this way as well....that being said if Cotto gets screwed.....he only has himself to blame. Being an annoying ******* for years catching up with you most of the time. Cotto screwed Cotto.:deal
Not sure if WBC can bribe judges so blatantly Cotto is the superior boxer and also got sneaky power...I wouldn't be surprised if he can shut out Canelo, who gets winded fast With that being said, my prediction is Canelo by KO Or Cotto by decision, if he boxes well
Just as I predicted even though I felt canelo won cotto didn't have a chance with those paid off judges.:deal
You got to be kidding. Just as I suspected, if the fight were to be anywhere close to being semi-competitive, those who had picked Cotto would cry robbery. Fight wasn't close. You had three judges all having scored the fight wide for Canelo. Look at my prediction in this very same thread, I said Cotto wasn't the better boxer, that he'd be outboxed early and that if Cotto wanted to win, he'd have to attack. Both fighters did well with the jab early, but Canelo was putting mus**** behind his and following it up with right hands that Cotto was not. Cotto then tried to take the fight up close where Canelo proved to be to strong and more versatile. Those uppercuts that Canelo was popping Cotto with served to convince Cotto staying on the inside to try and hook with Canelo wasn't a good idea. Canelo employed great waist movement and made Cotto miss most of his combination attempts when he planted his feet to throw with power. Canelo had Cotto off balance the whole night. I don't know what the punchstats said, but there's absolutely no way Cotto outlanded Canelo in any form. If he didn't outland Canelo by a sizeable margin, there's no way to make a case Cotto was anywhere close to winning the fight because by a long margin Canelo was landing the heavier much more effective punches. Fight went pretty much how I expected it to go. Canelo would outbox Cotto at center ring and it would be up to Cotto to get aggressive if he wanted to probe at an avenue where he could win rounds. Cotto tried that, but he bailed and went into a semi-survival mode of punch and judy where he wasn't being effective. Cant criticize Cotto's gameplan or his attempts at adjustments in the fight because frankly, he did what he could. He fought within himself but it just was nowhere good enough to bank rounds. The only criticism I have of Cotto was him leaving and not giving any interviews to any of the media. You get paid the amount of money he was making, and you damn owe it to the fans and media to answer questions postfight. Like the spoiled little diva brat he's always been, he went out and left without speaking to anyone. Cotto thinks he won every fight he doesn't get beaten to a bloody pulp.
GTFO Chimp. As if the "paid off" judges would want to make the scorecards as suspicious as possible Canelo was the better man and the judges scored it correctly. Get over it.
Exactly! A judge on the take scoring dishonestly along the way will usually have it a 1 or 2 point fight. Certainly not by the wide unanimous scores that were given. Those not crying outright robbery are upset that the scores were so wide and that at least on paper it would look like Cotto was in the fight.
