I've been thinking long and hard about this, and I believe Cotto will prevail tonight. Now I'm no huge Cotto fan, but the man has improved steadily from fight to fight. I branded him a weak chinned bum several years ago, but he slowly has gained my respect. He can box, he can punch, and he seems to have alot of heart. Margo seems like a good guy, and he is a good brawler and pressure fighter. I like his dedication and mental toughness, and he has alot of advantages over Cotto in the size department. The reason I pick Cotto is simple: He is the more skilled fighter. He can box, he can move, he can slip, and he can even fight on the backfoot. Versitilty is the name of the game, and while I still think Cotto can be caught with some big shots (and he assuredly will be tonight), he can simply do more than Margo can. Another reason I think Cotto will win is because Margo just does one thing: come forward and throw a whole lot of punches. He will need to throw punches, but I think he needs to use his considerable height and reach advantage. If he could search deep within himself and find a left jab to throw repeatedly, it could be the difference between him winning and losing. In closing, I would like to say Margo certainly has a chance to take it with his pressure. But like ESB's favorite fighter PBF said "Skills pay the bills". Cotto by tough UD, or late TKO. :good
It's hard for me to say but if I had to put money on the fight I guess I would go with Cotto. Good thing I didn't bet.
in other words I think cotto takes this but I hope for margarito, btw I just checked the weigh in and damn margarito doesn't look very healthy, his whole body is screaming, feed me! should step up in weight classes.. this can't be good for him. same goes with paul williams!
