I am not a huge fan of either fighter, so I will offer my prediction. I have called Pacquiao "Fanny Pac" in the past, but only when taking on two of my favorite fighters, Morales and Juan Manuel Marquez. I feel I can be objective in the following post.

DLH is visibly the bigger man, in both his career and right now. This is just purely visible by his shoulders, and just his plain structure. However, I think more important than his power in this fight...his handspeed. DLH has decent power, a good chin, all of that, but has ALWAYS had pretty damn fast hands...this is the key, to me. On top of this...DLH has VERY long arms...I've noticed this in a few fights.

Pacquiao is going to be facing a guy with faster hands than him, IMO. While Pacquiao may have fast hands...in order to get close, he will have to get past Oscar's reach and almost certainly take some leather. Pacquiao has a style that is almost like a southpaw-Shane Mosely...however, Shane had faster hands than Pac...or at least did at 135 and will at 147. I see the weight slowing Pac down considerably, as visible in the 24/7 (I thought Pac looked visibly slower than usual).

As we will see, Pacquiao is going to be kept at a distance or smothered in close, and IMO will likely go into a shell after a few rounds...likely after he tastes some power from the larger man. I am not convinced Pacquiao and Roach will have a suitable, executable plan B if they are unable to get inside.

That all being said, I predict Oscar by UD. That giant head of Pac's will keep him from getting KO'd.

I'd love to be proven wrong, and I hope Pacquiao wins this, but I think this fight is pretty clear to me.

Why does your prediction deserve its own thread?
