No, nobody will be 100%, but some things are evident -

Such as Jones over Trinidad for example, Jones is too big, this is evident. Trinidad is also coming out of a 2 year lay off.

Plus, Pavlik over Taylor is evident, as is Pac KOing Barrera again at this point.

I went with Winky and changed my mind to Hopkins at the last day.

I missed big on Marquez vs. Vasquez

    Allright then.

Loser has to wear, whichever avatar the winner picks for him for a month as long as its not against the rules.

I agree with Jones and Pac predictions there. Easy picks.

Will see what happens in the Taylor fight.

I picked Witter over Harris also... did you get that one?

Zuniga v Oganov was a good pick for you. As you know I got the Zuniga mixed up stupidly. I hadn't watched great amount of Oganov though, only really highlight reel stuff anyway.

    Mine this year have been:

    Cotto v Zab

    Williams v Marg

    Diaz v Freitas

    Floyd v Oscar

    Hatton v Castillo

    Klit v Brewster

Can't remember the rest. These are the fights where I had seen a decent amount of footage though.

As did I on Marquez v Vasquez actually. Forgot about that one. I think a lot of people were suprised there. Boxing can be so unpredictable at times:think

Yes, I picked Witter. My year has been good also, save for a rough stint that I corrected.

Post Cotto-Judah, it's been stellar with picks, the only big one that I got wrong was Marquez over Vasquez and I've gotten 80% roughly of the smaller fights, getting Holt over Torres wrong, but I also laid out the scenerio's and how it was by no means anything other than a fight up for grabs for both.

I'm getting better and better and it's because I'm studying tape more detailed, I'm confident in my late year run and it starts with the end of Jermain Taylor.:yep

    Anyways -

    Dawson over Adamek
    Marquez over Barrera
    Mormeck over Bell
    Mayweather over DLH
    Hatton over Castillo
    Williams over Margarito
    Klit over Brewster
    Calderon over Cazares
    Forrest over Baldomir
    Holt over Arnauotis
    Zuniga over Oganov
    Thompson over Krasniqi

    I'm forgetting plenty.

I had Calderon and Forrest also. I can't believe anyone actually believed that Baldomir would beat Forrest. I didn't make a prediction for Adamek vs Dawson because I hadn't seen any of him at that stage. I won't make actual predictions apart from the tipping comp where I am forced to, unless I get to see at least one full fight from both guys.

I picked Holt to beat Torres, but like you said that his chin could definitely be a factor and it would be a pick em fight because of it. I don't count that one really anyway, because of the crap that happened in the fight.

How does your tipping comp work anyway? Might put my hand up next time around...

It's going well, majority of bouts you have to pick just judging off of records alone(statistical skill), Zakman tends to be the best at this.

Reason being is that name fights don't come around every weekend and you have to pick 5 fights.

Thats the exact reason why I don't think it means that much. Making an analysation and prediction for a particular fight means a lot more then looking at box rec and recent stats and choosing based on numbers alon.

Here are my picks so I can see how I did when you bump this thread later.. even though I think after getting half those picks wrong you won't be bumping it. I've gotten pretty damn good at picking fights just by looking at styles and the state of the fighters at that point in their careers. Also, the more I bet on c-level fights just by looking at their records and online reports/video sometimes, the better I get at picking those small fights too.

    Pavlik late TKO Taylor
after Steward jumps in to save Jermain (I think it might be pretty close in the very start, but after 3-4 rounds Taylor won't be able to deal with the pressure and he'll break down physically/mentally)
Valuev midrounds TKO Bergeron unless his chin ends up being good
Barrera close decision Pacquiao (he's one of my favorite fighters and I understand that realistically, he's supposed to lose, but I'm praying he will end his career on this unbelievably high note)
Golota midrounds TKO Mcbride (but this might change a little depending on the weighin)
Ibragimov late TKO Holyfield (Ibragimov is nothing special but despite looking good against **** opponents, Holyfield is simply shot)
Povetkin mid-early rounds KO Byrd (no nuthugging.. Byrd is past it and Povetkin has a terrible style for him)
Calzaghe wide decision Kessler (as much as I used to hate on Calzaghe, I admit the ******* is underrated and is horrible stylistically for Kessler)
Cotto late TKO Mosley (I can see Cotto getting hurt and finished by Mosley here too, but I think the more probable outcome is that Mosley will show his age and get stopped late after giving everything he's got)
Mayweather late TKO Hatton (or wide ud, depending on how hard Floyd tries.. he could either do enough to win or give it his all and stop Hatton)
Jones KO5 Trinidad (come on.. an entertaining but meaningless fight)
