alot of people who was riding with Paul said he had improve since then. but he really hasn't he use the jab more though. some people came to realize that he's not the beast they made him out to be (still good fighter though).some people thought to little of sergio and to big of paul. my uncle one of them. has he got better, now it's official no. he got beatup more winning the fight with sergio than losing to qunitana.

that was one hell of a fight, they made boxing fans proud i was on my feet the whole time them dudes got made heart

people gone jump off Paul William ship now, walk with me will ride with Paul till he retires though thats a real fan

    yeah he is....

he went in there with an awful. game plan though... i think him & gp just thought they would be able to go into the fight and impose their will on martinez and he would crumble... which he obviously didnt..

paul just totally rushed the whole fight and didnt take his time at all....

Yup he's a better fighter after the first Quintana fight cause now Williams is throwing harder punches instead of pitty pad punches.

What else was Williams gonna do? That was his only chance of any kind of success at all. He doesn't have the genuine skill to beat Martinez in a chess match. Williams would have been taken to the cleaners if he let Martinez breathe more. No question at all.

The Williams from quintana 1 would have lost last night for sure. Having said that, I do think Paul can fight smarter than that.

it woudlnt even be about a chess match.... paul could easily beat martinez by 4 or so rounds if he just took his time a little more

    - he lunges in off balance from to far

since he does this he leaves him self open to counters while his opponent is fighting off the back foot..

all he would have to do is fight more up right and not rush what he is doing..... thats the only adjustment he would have to make... i think he would win the rematch convincingly

No, he's not a better fighter. Just because he came in and fought a determined fight does not mean he has gotten better. His judge of distance is awful, he still throws wide, wild shots with his chin in air yelling "Hit me real hard, please!!". As far as technique is concerned he is so far behind at this point in his career that is pretty much unfixable.

    Current Paul did.

Williams didnt even adjust in this fight he only began winning rounds after Martinez tired himself out trying to knock Williams out. Williams won because of better Athleticsm and poor judging, it certainly was because he was the better fighter.

He's the same fighter. He just had a Quintana on his best career night and he didn't have a good night but stylistically he will always have problems with these guys.

His defense is terrible, doesn't cut the ring off,his chin is in the air, etc.

Still it was an awesoem fight.

He is a better fight, but also fought a larger, better opponent than Quintana.
