    No one is afraid to engage with Wlad until they start getting hit with his jab.

    wlad will be tough for haye due to the size difference. Haye will have to fight an aggressive fight. He definitely has the power to knock Wlad out, but the question is being able to find him.

    I think if Haye shows the kind of footwork he showed tonight, and explosive punching , he can beat Wlad. If he tries to have a boxing match, I dunno if he can win that way.

    Haven't seen the fight, but by all accounts Ruiz landed some heavy shots. So I figure that Haye's chin should get more credit now.

    He didn't get hit hard really. He got cuffed on the side of the head a few times. Ruiz didn't land any great punches to be honest, nothing that would make you stand up and think 'wow he took a great shot there.'

    Haye did a better defensive job than people claim. I think if you only get half hit you would take that more times than not. It just looks worse sometimes because his hands are down.

    Your reasons describe exactly why Haye will be sparked out VERY early against Klitschko. There is a reason why his opponent go into defensive mode early in the first round. They realize what they are in there with. Haye will do the same... or he will get knocked out extremely early if he opens up as sloppy as he does against much lesser fighters.

    Yes he was gasping for air a bit. But the way I actually saw it quite often he was inviting Ruiz to throw punches and when I was watching the fight it seemed like Haye was letting Ruiz have some success so that he would start marching forward again, right on to Haye's shots. Which given he acted like a tiring fighter in the 4th that was starting to feel the pressure and then came out in the 5th throwing bombs didn't suprise me much. If you listen to a lot of Haye interviews you can tell he spends a lot of time thinking about how to draw guys onto his counters.

    All that being said it is true he was a little more tired then he should have been at times. I think it was more that he wasn't in great shape for the fight then a recovery/stamina problem. I thought he didn't look as cut as he has in the past when he was in the ring and him saying that he couldn't spare might point to his preperation not being as good as it could have been. Also he really loaded up in the first round and a half trying to get him out of there. After that he took a couple of rounds, re-grouped and controlled his aggression for the rest of the fight.

    It was a good preformance. All and all I would have to say that his stamina and chin issues are probably still there but at least we can now say they are not bad enough that they pose a real danger to him being able to beat your average Joe top 20 heavyweight.

    Haye wasn't caught with anything that would trouble a journeyman, although I'd argue that the first knockdown completely destroyed any morale and game-plan Ruiz had. Haye showed why he's at least an even bet in any fight with any opponent. He has great reflexes and solid defensive skills when he chooses to use them, but he can bang very hard at a moments notice. I'd hate to call any Haye fight as a commentator, simply because no-one really knows for sure what his chin is like, nor his opponent at taking Hayemaker's to the chin. That's what makes him an exciting fighter to watch.

    Most of Wladimir's opponents don't move enough and make it easy for him to set then up with the jab. Haye's combination of very good movement, speed and power present a real threat to Wladimir, and has a great shot to beat him.

    You can't be overly defensive and stand in front of Wlad, letting him lead. You have to move, attack, and counter when he paws with the jab. Haye will hit him easily with right hands because Wlad still doesn't move his head. If Haye comes out aggressive yet under control, he present serious problems for Wlad.

    I honestly don't know why people write Haye off so easily. If there's a record for winning world titles in a record amount of time in diffferent divisions, he must be near it. He's shown the balls to get in the ring with a lot of current/former champs and duke it out, except the one occasion where he's up against a monster of a man yet still finds a way to come out on top albeit in a completely boring/defensive/running away style. I can only put it down to people not liking him personally, and I have to agree that although Haye thinks he's some kind of reincarnation of Mohammed Ali, he doesn't have the quick wit and intelligence to even compare, BUT that should not detract from his victories (and I'm sure that he's intelligent to know that he's no Ali, but in a world where Pacquaio and Mayweather exist, he has to sell his fights). We can all find criticisms of his fighting style, but he beats the boxers put in front of him, pure and simple, and usually in an exciting way. Haye would have arguably been destroyed by many a Heavyweight 20 years ago, but sadly that time is long gone. Enjoy what we have left. . .

    :lol::lol::lol:

    What's Klitschko's #1 weapon? The answer is jab. Did you see Ruiz land his double and triple jabs time after time? Haye could not do anything against that jab and landed his power punches only when Ruiz pressed forward without the jab. Now, take into the account that Ruiz is shorter, slower and less powerful than Klitschko. After watching this fight, there's very little doubt that Klitschko would be able to control Haye with his jab. That's all you gotta know about this potential fight. Haye's only chance is somehow land a lucky punch. Most likely he will be completely outclassed by either Klitschko.

    Who can forget how Corrie "The Wlad Slayer" Sanders exposed Wlad's glass chin to the world first. It also showed how a little pressure could go a long in fighting Wlad. Guys like Brewster and Peter learned a little from Sanders that night.
