he has already a big head, and don't under estimate the power of Diaz... he is not underdog in this match..

Read my posts, did I ever post anything about his power?:patsch . But still, he is considered as an underdog because he had a controversial decision against Morales. Morales, whom Pac beat around 2 times. Now your gonna tell me look at what happened to Pac in his first fight with Morales. People were saying that Pac was the favorite since Barerra beat Morales and Pac beat Barerra. However, at that time, Pac was a one dimensional fighter and undisciplined. That wont be the case this time because Pac will train harder and he is not one dimensional anymore. So there you go. Pac will beat David Diaz.

make no mistake that d. diaz will be the underdog by virtue of his performance against morales. he may not be that big of an underdog due to pac's overconfidence, lack of focus and discipline.

    d. diaz will not determine the outcome of this fight. pac will, depending on how he trains and focuses for this fight. if pac trains only 5 weeks which i think he will, diaz will have a good chance of an upset.

He is becoming much worst than any dodger, Pac really sucks with this move. He is running scared of JMM obviously, and fighting at 135 is way out of line. The road to perdition of Pacquaio is so visible.

it may be the beginning of the end for pac. but i hope i'm wrong. i'm still his fan although i've lost some respect for him. both pac and jmm are now duckers. jmm, 3 years ago and pac, now.

I think its a good move for pac, or really a good challenge. Pac started his career fighting at a real low weight class. So good for him if he wants to dominate that weight class. But I personaly think 135 is to much for Pac and IF he gets by Diaz there is alot of fighters that he will have more trouble with at 135 then at 130

You all seem to forget that career decisions are not made by the fighter but by the manager. Blame Bob Arum, or maybe praise him for judicious planning. He just wants to preserve Pac's market value by keeping him on a winning streak if possible while facing very respectable opposition. If it were up to Manny, he probably would reiterate what he said long ago, that he really wants to fight all the greatest fighters available. Also, "kahit sino." But he also has said he doesn't want to fight a fellow Filipino, probably so he won't add to the defeats list on the record of the fellow Pinoy. That could be a good thing or it could also be bad.

Diaz has no defense, Pac should be a 20-1 favourite for this fight. Anything less and its time to go to the bookies.

if this is more or less a tune up for a eventual juan diaz showdown, then i guess this fight can be justified somewhat, as pac may want to pic up a trinket before facing el torito. if this was the case then i would'nt call it ducking jmm as he's fighting a bigger more dangerous fighter, that could beat him in a bad way. but if was to fight casa next i'd lose respect for him.

Well fighting Juan Diaz or JMM next at 135 is the only thing that can justify this move.

    Meanwhile . . . I'm disappointed as hell. :-(

i'm dissapointed as hell too, but i'm hoping this is just a tune up for torito. 2 years a go pac's reputation was pristine for taking on all the tough fights. i'd like it to stay that way, and i was hoping he takes on jmm or diaz for his next fight.

Yep he blew it. But now that Marquez is calling him out why not fight him? Pac wanted to fight him before and I still think he wants to fight JMM but he opted for diaz instead. So what if JMM cant fill an auditorium? What the hell does this have to do here? Pinoy ka ba? Heck if I have the chance to fight Marquez, I would do it.
