I think you underestimate his handspeed given the division he fights in (and the fact that he could easily move up).

My only criticism is resume, which isnt his fault. Dont think MW is all that competitive (not really a Miranda - Abraham convert as of yet). If he moves up and fights Kessler then I think we can start to talk about Pavlik as a possible great. At the moment though, he is the best (by a country mile) of an average bunch. He's beat everyone he's faced and for that I give him credit and I do have him in my P4P but I think the calibre of opponent has not been that testing for him yet.

I'd probably go with a 'B' rating myself, but could easily rise to B+/A- if calibre of opposition improves and Pavlik looks equally impressive!

Very fair. I think Abraham is decent. So is Andy Lee, despite his upset loss, and Strum, who for my money defeated Oscar De La Hoya. I suppose Pavlik vs Duddy is a true fans fight. The best up and coming middle weight is Gennedy Golokin, 12-0, 10 Ko’s.

While the competition at middle is not great, I do think Pavlik will see out challenges.

Pavlik v Duddy is a bit of a joke IMO. A fight that can only go one way.

He could also lose his next fight. Geez, anyone that wins a title 'qualifies' for potential ATG status these days...

But I digress on this one.

I wouldn't class that as big trouble he got straight back up and got back to work, typical pavlik. I think that knock down shows pavlik has a good solid chin.

I think that was a very good analysis. I would add the observation that Pavlik kind of reminds me of Jirov in that he may be too tough for his own good. If anyone saw Jirov fight Adolpho Washington Jirov just came forward threw punches in bunches and because he had such a good chin, took a lot of punches fluch withour being fazed. I always thought that this had an effect on him later in shortening his career somehow because he did that in a lot of fights. I think Kelly Pavlik needs to beware of the cumulative effect of taking shots to the head at this point in his career. He may be able to walk through them now but they might come back to haunt him later.

Man , u r bein a proper arse on this one, you'd think i was some nuthugger the way ur making out, u know thats not me, this the first time ive said something like this ever about a current fighter, and u trying to crucify me? What a clown.

'Any1 who wins qualifies for potential ATG status', what are you talking about? I simply agreed with SuzieQ that he COULD be one day, not that he WOULD, if i had to pick from the current younger champs, he would be one of the stronger candidates, maybe not though, you're acting like im some newbie general forum shite-talker. He has a good record for a relatively new champ, a stoppage of Miranda, one over Taylor, and a decision over him aswell, and in his last outing showed the gap in class against a lesser fighter. He MAY reach that status one day, he also may NOT.

Dont know what your problem is here

He has a decent chin, but he shouldn't be getting knocked down as often as he has done. That could possibly be more to do with his style and defense though.

Ya well its not exactley right to gang up and try and make someone look like a fool on a thread that he didnt even contribute too or didnt have any meaning to him. To me thats just downright degrading to me. Im sorry If I let me ego or pride get the best of me, but Im not gonna lie I was pretty shocked when I scrolled down wanting to read about kelly pavlik and found in Big Cap Letters "DONT EVER LISTEN TO SQ", in which another poster replied "I dont listen to him half the time". I mean it didnt come out as a joke man. w/e I dont care anymore. lets just forget it. Thats cool ur 22, I thought u were older.

If you look at my post, there are a couple of exclamation marks after my line, it was just meant as something harmless, seriously. Wont happen again anyway man, if it means anything, my whole argument was based on me being in agreement with something you said on an earlier thread about Pavlik.
