My Scorecard For The Provodnikov Algieri Fight, With Explanation

So all in all we can all agree it was a very close fight and that either man could've won depending on which criteria's you put more importance.

I personally though a draw would have been ideal but have no problems with either guy winning.

What i do have a problem is the people who claim that Algieri "ran" or that Provodnikov got a boxing lesson, despite it being so a close fight.

 

I was at the fight ruslan did all his damage in the first round and then looked clueless in getting outboxed by algieri the rest of the fight. you cant win a fight by facial damage or sending ur opponent to the hospital you have to score the rounds individually.ruslan should have finished him off in the first round but he didn't now he needs to stop crying and accept the loss like a man.as far as a rematch goes ruslan better stay far away from algieri his style is all wrong for him algieri would outbox ruslan every time.props to algieri for his toughness and will to win.its good to have another champion from the great state of NEW YORK.
