Juan Manuel Marquez vs Manny Pacquiao 1

    1 Pacquiao 10-6 3 knockdowns
    2 Pacquiao
    3 Marquez
    4 Marquez
    5 Marquez
    6 Marquez
    7 Pacquiao
    8 Marquez
    9 Marquez
    10 Pacquiao
    11 Marquez
    12 Marquez

    113-112 Marquez

I've always felt Marquez deserved to win this fight and my opinion hasn't changed, the first 6 rounds are pretty easy to score IMO. After that it gets a bit tougher for me the closest round in the fight was the 9th round, but for the most part i felt like Marquez was able to fight his kind of fight. It took Marquez 2 rounds to adjust to Pacquiao's speed, but once he did he had Pacquiao pretty measured apart from a couple of rounds. I also forgot how many good body punches Marquez landed in the fight aswell.

Overall for me Marquez won this fight on clean punching, ring generalship, nullifying Pacquiao's aggression for a large portion of the fight.

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 2

    1 Marquez
    2 Marquez
    3 Pacquiao 10-8 knockdown
    4 Pacquiao
    5 Marquez
    6 Marquez
    7 Pacquiao
    8 Marquez
    9 Pacquiao
    10 Pacquiao
    11 Marquez
    12 Marquez

    114-113 Marquez

How did Harold Lederman have Pacquiao winning the 12th round ? his scorecard was reasonable up until that point, i also felt his scoring was way off in the 1st fight aswell.

Overall i felt like this fight was quite easy to score like the 1st meeting, the 1st round was close but Marquez landed a few body shots and the big right hand, was by far best punch of the round won the round for Marquez for me. Apart from that i didn't really see many other swing rounds, one fighter would always clearly win a round even if it was competitive.

Pacquiao was definitely an improved fighter, and his defence and right hand was noticeably better. But he still had the same issues he had in the 1st meeting, Marquez's straight hand was always bothering him. And Marquez's ring generalship and counter punching style still posed the same problems.

Overall again just like the 1st fight, Marquez won for me based on ring generalship and clean effective punching great fight though.

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 3

    1 Pacquiao
    2 Marquez
    3 Pacquiao
    4 Pacquiao
    5 Marquez
    6 Pacquiao
    7 Marquez
    8 Marquez
    9 Marquez
    10 Marquez
    11 Pacquiao
    12 Pacquiao

    114-114 Draw

For me this was Pacquiao's best performance vs Marquez in regards to his defence, Pacquiao fought a more tactical fight this time around and got hit far less. Pacquiao's footwork was also better here than it was in fights 1 and 2, as he kept his positioning alot better and wasn't off balance as much.

I felt like Marquez stepped it up after round 6, as Marquez had to lead a bit more in this fight to have success, he landed mostly all the telling blows for me in rounds 7-10 especially with the right hand. Lederman had Pacquiao winning most of the rounds after 7 rounds which i totally disagreed with.

But i felt like Marquez dropped the ball in the last 2 rounds when he cut Pacquiao, and let his foot off the gas and fought too cautiously, allowing Pacquiao to win the last 2 rounds to earn a draw on my card.

Overall the most boring fight of the trilogy, but i still found it riveting to watch regardless. I think this fight had the most swing rounds out of all the fights they had.

Agree with the first two, had Marquez winning the third also. Not entirely sure what Marquez did to get the knockout in the 4th fight, seems a bit odd that he gained the ability to KO pacman with that shot when he was landing the same punch pretty much at will through all the fights and didn’t really wobble Pacquiao. Either way, Marquez was a better fighter than he is given credit for. Definitely top 5 Mexican fighter and I have him above Morales and Barrera

How did you manage to get all three of them wrong? I can understand you giving the first two to Marquez if you gave him every close round, but how the hell do you give Pac all of those rounds in the third that weren't anything like close? I stopped scoring the third fight sometime around the 8th or 9th round because Pac needed a knockout to win by that point.

I had marquez winning 1 and 3 with the second fight being a draw, maybe lean to manny if I'm honest

I remember the first fight and gave marquez nearly every round other than the first

Pacquiao goes down as the greater fighter, but Marquez had his number

I thought fights 1 and 2 were pretty easy to score, no more than 2 swing rounds in both fights IMO.

In fight 1 Marquez pretty much won a majority of the rounds after round 2. With the most debatable round as i said being the 9th round, but i preferred the cleaner accurate punches from Marquez, i feel like he always had the final say in most of the exchanges and landed the more eye catching punches.

In fight 2 they went back and forth trading rounds, Pacquiao had definitely improved especially with the right hand. But again just like the 1st fight i preferred Marquez's cleaner more accurate punches, for me Marquez's punches stood out more to me in the close rounds.

In fight 3 i actually felt like Pacquiao boxed well in the first 6 rounds, for me his defence and footwork was on point. Marquez was not able to really land that many effective punches, and for me it took until round 5 until Marquez really found his timing with his punches. I did feel like Marquez had the better of it for the most part after that, but as i said in my write up i felt like Marquez dropped the ball in the last 2 rounds. He had Pacquiao cut and looking a tad bemused, but he failed to really capitalize on it and Pacquiao stole the last 2 rounds for me.

I had JMM winning the first fight, scored the 2nd a draw and the 3rd for JMM. But all 3 were super competitive and close and even the 4th fight was fiercely fought and very competitive right up to the spectacular KO.

Pacquiao got robbed in the first fight due to an incompetent judge's inability to do basic math.

Pacquiao won the second w/ the knockdown being the difference.

Pacquiao won the third in a close contest.

Cant argue that. The 2nd fight if no KD, goes to another draw. Imagine that.

I scored all the fights for Marquez. His counter punching style was Kryptonite for Pacquiao.

Pac vs Marquez fights could go either way.
    Always close fights.

Personally I had Pac edge the first fight, second a draw and Marquez win the third.
It was fitting the fourth would end up in either getting ko'd.

In reality Marques was lucky the first fight didn't get waived off after the 3rd knockdown when he took his time to get up.

Yeah I could definitely see some refs stopping it after the 3rd knockdown. Luckily there was no 3 knockdown rule and the ref correctly assessed that Marquez could continue otherwise we would of been deprived a great fight and a great rivalry.
