DEDICATED TO MY COACH PASSED AWAY OCT 15TH IM FIGHTIN OUT OF THE BLUE CORNER [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3DVCjt4brM&feature=youtube_gdata[/ame]
Pretty good stuff overall. I noticed at 1:10 and again around 1:20 you got your feet crossed up trying to walk the guy down. Keep your lead foot ahead of the trailing foot when doing that for better balance and more power on your punches. It's hard to throw a nice straight right if your right foot is in the lead position and you are a conventional fighter. In the second round you were winging some real wide shots just before the ref issued the 8 count. If your opponent was more polished, he could have really capitalized on that and thrown his punches quicker and straighter, thus beating you to the punch. I noticed in the last round about the 5:45 mark the ref missed the backhand that he threw after he missed the right. You used you height and reach pretty well. You need to work on your footwork going in and cutting off the ring and straighten those punches a bit for more accuracy and power.
Forgot to mention, sorry for the loss of your coach. I see you dedicated your fight to your late coach Steve Tausan. That is a name found all over Louisiana and usually by folks of cajun heritage. Where exactly are you from?
I train downtown at a bailbonds office...... Theres san jose boxing, pal, aka, dreamland and a few smaller gyms out there
Thanks for sharing, a good one. RIP your coach. After how many months of training did you get your first fight?
I started when i was 19 but i didnt seriously train til last year so about a year of serious training
You were a class above him, pretty good for second fight. I like the vibe of the crowd, good community.
