You cross your feet and bring them together far too often. Many times when you slip or duck a punch, you are not in a position to punch back. You have to make those moves on your feet, and sync them up with your punching mechanics. For example...
A couple times you slip outside his jab but you do it by bending at the waist and leaning over. You avoid the punch but cannot do anything from there. You want to do it this way: Drop your right foot flat and turn your weight onto that leg by pivoting on your left toe. That is the same motion as throwing a left hook. It gets you out of the way of his jab, which you can counter with a hook thrown as you slip. Or you can follow his jab back with your own jab because your weight is now in a spot that allows you to push off your right foot. Or you can follow his jab home with a right hand over his left shoulder: Once again, because your weight is in a position to allow that.

When you throw your straight right hand the majority of the time you lift your pivot foot off the ground, you twist it well but the end product you want to keep it grounded, you will lose power if you lift it up. Also the foot work, like the poster above stated you square up your feet alot. try and work on staying in your stance more

Im feeling you man, getting beat up when the other dude is going 20%.
Good stuff tho, only way is up when you spar much better opposition.

How was the boxing "scene" otherwise in Gran Canaria?

    Thanks for all feedback!

In the main island, Grand Canaria, I found only two gyms, one is in Las Palmas where I sparred. It is for local pros, quite serious.

Another gyms is in Vencidario, general stuff, but there were couple of good boxers.

Please read more on my blog if interested: http://www.sugarboxing.com/gran-canaria-boxing-gyms-overview/

Try and focus on keeping your hips under you. Your exaggerating the bend in these slipping motions so much that your wasting a lot of energy and you could also really hurt your back that way. Keep those motions a lot tighter. Remember, your head doesn't need to move that far to make somebody miss. Also, it will be a lot easier to counter if your not bending at the waist so much and your keeping your hips under you.
