I see the fight pretty much the same way you do... I think AA is going to have a lot of trouble getting inside to do damage...
The question is, whether you can improve your stamina be changing food and training. I think the context there is more different and complicate.
I think too much has been made of this whole stamina thing based on the way Froch stopped him. Taylor looked like he was still in the fight but in that 12th round he just got caught with something but he was still rallying back so I think to some degree we are looking into this whole stamina thing too deeply. He looked good against Lacy and was able to fight the entire fight without much trouble and this is how I see the fight going with Abraham because Abraham gets tired aswell down the stretch but he is good at covering this up. He fights in spurts and grabs a breath inbetween. Too much is being made of the stamina thing, he just needs to make sure he has trained his legs adequately because Abraham is not going to be putting the same type of pressure that Froch put on him because Abraham fights in spurts.
If King Arthur can destroy Miranda in their second fight he will destroy taylor also and he runs out of gas quickly..
Miranda fought Abraham unintelligently and was right infront of Abraham to receive those counter shots + Miranda was just hitting gloves and fighting like a front runner. Watch fights properly that was a simple minded assessment Taylor will use his reach and great double jabs to keep the distance. When Abraham comes inside he will be beat to the punch each and everytime.
A closer look at the "stamina problem" of Taylor means, whether he can keep his line, means protect himself enough, in the later rounds when Taylor may get tired and Abraham start some wild attacks. You may say Abraham is not able to do so, but, if, has Taylor still got the will to go through that, after his last KO`s ?
Good point, Taylor's last KO loss would of probably taken a bit out of him, But the type of pressure that Froch put on him is not the type of pressure that Abraham will put on him. I dont believe Abraham hits as hard as Froch and I dont believe that he applies the same consistent pressure as Froch, Abraham fights in spurts and whilst he takes a breather he allows his opponent to do the same. I think that Lacy was putting pressure on Taylor but Taylor neutralised the smaller mans attacks by using that beautiful double and triple jab he has and he would add the right hand onto that combo and he had Lacy in trouble a few times. I see Abraham getting caught by something on the counter and Taylor could very well step in and finish the job, Taylor looks more effective against smaller guys in height, he will keep Abraham on the end of that jab. When Abraham starts to turn it up late he is still going to have to make up that reach deficit and if he cant he could very well be in for a tougher night than anybody on here would expect. You cant write a man off because he was knocked out in his last fight
What does knocking out Miranda after 16 rounds have to do with fighting Taylor though? If he can do that he can do this? Miranda, who is not nearly the fighter Taylor is, gave AA all kinds of trouble in their first fight. It's not even relevant anyway, because triangle theory makes no sense, especially if B and C are very different. This just does not make sense to me.
Getting around AA's guard will be easier for a quicker, and taller fighter like Taylor. Boo's already commented on the height, and there is merit to it if you look at previous fights.
This is an extremely tough pick, so I don't want to write an analysis. A few things I think will happen.. 1.)Abraham will get noticably rocked within the first 4 rounds. 2.) Taylor will win the first 6 rounds 3.) Taylor will do a lot of Holding
