taylor is in my opinion the much better boxer/fighter, but i'm sure the first flush shot abraham lands, taylor will got knocked down, and couple of rounds later knocked out. the thing with abraham is, that he is the pfp number one in punching power, and if you don't believe me, you will after tonight^^ but if taylor is very carefuly and clever then he will outbox abraham to a wide ud, but i don't think that he can make it

Abraham - are we over rating his shots against weak and lower ranked middleweights with no defence?

Are we underating Taylors speed, skills and ability to go 12 rounds at the highest level? Also Taylor has knocked down Froch and Pavlik, what has AA done remotely as good as that, apart from beating Miranda?

I don't think AA's punches will be so "chilling" at 168lbs but his lack of size, speed, height and reach will be against him big time.

no i'm not underrating taylor, skillwise he is the best fighter in the super six, but i'm overrating aa^^ if i will be wrong, then i'm the first one who will admit it.
for example marquez, who fought both, taylor and abraham, said that he was never punched that hard in the fight with abraham against everyone else. same goes to miranda, who said that in the second abraham fight he was punched harder than the way pavlik punched him. and this fight was catchweight and near the super middle weight limit. so that make me believe that abraham will knock taylor out

I dont think we are overrating AA's punching power. SMWs are a few pounds heavier than MWs., therefore a bit harder to KO. On the other hand AA is is probably taking a bit more power into this fight considering that he also is a few pounds heavier than usual. The level he has fought at so far is not remarkable but you gotta admit that he's got serious pop.

One thing that is left to be seen is whether AA has the chin for this level.... He's gonna need it. Especially in the first few rds, considering his relative inactivity in the first part of fights.

I think Taylor will have his moments early but fade late on and lose on points or perhaps by stoppage. Only time will tell I suppose but I think Taylor has been in a few wars and it is beginning to show.

What's an ALT? Do you mean I switch identities or something? I just don't see a need to talk any more than I have to. Certainly not to discuss the person who made a prediction rather than the prediction itself.

From what I've read Taylor's problem was overtraining for fights. He would peak in training camp and come out flat when the fight took place. This time he didnt loo so toned at the weight in so I think this time he didnt overtrain.

What I absolutely love about this tournament is that every fight despite having some favourites in realty is a 50/50 fight, anything can happen points victory, knockouts early, knockouts late. Its not like Winky vs Hopkins when everyone knew it would go to the cards.

The stoppage prediction for JT is pretty bold, but I think your ananlysis is solid. Hight, reach and speed are some big hurdles to get over. We will see.

The first two seem very possible.

I don't see him holding though. He never has done much of this. Plus, there really won't any reason too. There is no reason for him to let Abraham inside at all.

The first flush shot? Based on what? He hits hard, but I don't see any reason to think the first flush shot would knock Jermain down. Abraham even landing many flush shots, will be difficult for him to do.

I don't think they are all 50/50 fights, but all somewhat competitive fights. At least it seems they could all be competitive. After the first round of fights are over, they will definitely not all seem like 50/50 fights.

I don't know if any fight involving Kessler can be considered 50/50 right now. Most likely not.

He said he was told he was losing the weight too quickly. That could have been an issue regarding stamina. A fighter doesn't want to be too close to what they will weigh-in at for very long.

To me, the stamina is partially physical, and partially mental. If he really thinks he is physically better now, that alone may help with the mental side of it.

I don't see Taylor's punches making much of an impact. When I've seen Abraham slightly bothered its to the body more than anything, Lajuan Simon got his attention. Taylor hardly ever throws to the body. Along with the fact he's nothing more than a average puncher, and I think the action will play out with Taylor jabbing/right hands to Abraham's high guard, and when Abraham unleashes I don't think Taylor will counterpunch clean shots, he'll cover up as much as possible.

    You never know though.
