Frazier got by the med test, because he cheated, had they found out, there would be no heart to show. Or in that Case, Harry Greb would be mention a LOT on heart base on fighting blind. Its not Marciano's fault he keep his body in better health.

Marciano still had to over come his own injures. Bad back, bad right Eye that never heal right, bad hands, (Yes he fought with them broken)
    Than we add the nose.

Also would not call Foreman the hardest hitter of all time. He was more of a TKO hitter. I rank Louis or Marciano over Foreman in that department. Foreman had to keep knocking people down, to have the ref stop em. When Louis or Marciano nail them, they were OUT.

I would agree I think Shavers was a bigger puncher then Foreman. Don't get me wrong Foreman could bang but I think there were better punchers. Louis may not have hit as hard but his Speed and Accuracy made him lethal. George threw wide arching punches that were heavy but not really one punch power(Except Michael Moorer). Marciano threw very wide punches also but his stamina made up for his lack of accuracy as he could throw those punches all night long and not wear down. And there is no real argument here. Every fighter who steps between the ropes has heart because there is no guarantee you will leave that ring alive. Every fighter steps into that ring knowing the dangers. Some may exemplify heart more but they all have it. Just my .2 cents

Christ, we've been down this road way too many times........... Ali *****-slaps Marciano around the ring for the most part of 15 rds....... Marciano wins a few rds, but ends up getting stopped late due to cuts and blood......... Ali wins...... Nuff said.......

To be fair to Frazier Rocky never faced the same caliber HEAVYWEIGHTS that Frazier faced. Ali, Foreman and Bugner were far bigger than Moore, Walcott, LaStarza, Cockell and Charles. None of them moved like Ali or hit like Foreman. Aside from a shot Louis, none of Rocky's best opponents weighed in over 200lbs and a few of them were either blown up light heavies or actual light heavies. Beating a 175lb-190lb opponent is quite a bit different than beating a 210-220lb true heavyweight. Would Rocky's punches have the same effect on a man the size of George Foreman or Muhammed Ali? Could Rocky survive the onslaught of a 220lb Foreman, the type of opponent that didn't exist during Rocky's title reign? Rocky's best fighting weight was actually 20lbs lighter than Joe's best fighting weight. I'm not trying to put Rocky down at all. I love Marciano. The man's an all time great but I think we need to put things into perspective. Ali was big and strong , fast as hell and could take a great punch. With his speed and elusiveness combined with his 6'3" height and his 80" reach how the hell is Rocky ever going to catch Ali consistently enough to hurt or KO him? The man was 5'10" with a 69" reach for chrissakes! Make them both the same size and its a completely different story. As it is now I say Ali by late round stoppage due to cuts.

Comparing the likes of Bugner to Walcott or Charles?? Hell they beat him with there eyes close. Marciano also. and your asking Marciano to make it past Foreman, when Frazier failed 2 times. We not asking if Marciano can make it past Foreman. Its a style thing. But he can edge Ali. Walcott was a better mover than Ali imo.

Walcott a better mover than Ali?
I find that very hard to believe. I´ve got a lot of fight´s with Walcott and he moved good but compare to ali and aspecially the Ali before the exile no one in the HW moved as good as him.

Over a nine year period, he beat Oscar Bonaveno (twice), Eddie Machen, Doug Jones, George Chuvalo, Buster Mathis, Jerry Quarry, and Jimmy Ellis, among others.

    Every man he ever faced.

    Two clowns.

Each one trying to make their case by trashing the careers of two top ten heavyweights.

I especially liked the line " Who did Marciano beat ? " ( which get answered with " Nobody").

In reference to an undefeated Heavyweight champion. In the days when there was only one title.

Not really when you get down to it..... Joe Bugner was limited to a degree, yet really tough... If Bugner was able to hang and last with Ali and Frazier in fights, he'd hang with Ezzard Charles and Joe Walcott as well, in a time machine.... But, yes, he'd still lose......

Now, Rocco Marciano fought the best available out there from 1947 thru 1955..... However, Marciano's era of heavyweight fighters were NO WHERE near the caliber of the 70s era..... But "Die-Hard" fans and followers of Rocco Marciano usually fail to see that angle....

That is true, we should never forget that. Today there are 5 or 6 different worldchampions, or something like that. First of all, none of them should be able to call them self that, there can only be one true champion. We don´t have five teams as worldchampions in hockey or soccer, that is just silly.
As always this is just my opinion.
I think I will start a new organisation and tell the world that I am the new HW champion of the world, perhaps we all could do it, there would be millions of HW worldchampions, even some that won´t be HW:yep. (that would be me)
    All the best

The People That are discrediting Marciano's wins over Wallcott and Charles need to think about this Wlacott was comeong off the Best wins in His Career......and Charles While haveing Lost to Walcott was Still winnign and only Started Losing Real Badly after the 2 Fights With Marciano....Both Where older in Boxing Terms but Where Still top Elite Fighters.....Moorer Still Had Pretty Good Success After the Marciano Fight

Marciano would have lost to the men that beat Frazier IMO, Ali & Foreman.

If you want to talk about overrated HWTs then we are on the right subject of Marciano who retired around his prime to protect his unbeaten record + he fought in one of the worst HWT era`s..... we all know Ali, Foreman & Frazier fought in the greatest EVER era for heavies..... & Ali came out on top.

    THE END !

Back problems or not, Marciano made a good decision to get out of boxing in 1956... Dudes like Cleveland Williams and Sonny Liston were in the works by that time and would've been monsters for Marciano in the late 1950s...

I'm not so sure a 33 year old Marciano could've handled a fast punching 21 year old Floyd Patterson in 1956 / '57.... The '59 KO loss to Ingo was due to Floyd being over confident and not taking a well tuned Ingo seriously, but that changed in 1960....

Oh.... ok, so Fraziers corner must have stopped the fight at the end of 14, to prevent Joe killing Ali in the last round???? Ok... now the puzzle is solved.

Can you tell me.... which round did Joe have Ali in serious trouble???? Which round did Ali cop 15-25 hard shots in.... unanswered??? What round did Joe clearly win, punishingly?????

The fight was intense. The heat/humidity was intense. Frazier was intense. Frazier was nearly KILLED.
