    49-0

Highest KO percentage in heavyweight history (KO ratio isn't cemented until the boxer retires )

    6 title defenses

    Archie Moore

    Jersey Joe walcott

    Joe Louis.

    Ezzard Charles

4 all time greats on his resume .

Wasn't as athletic and skilled as his opponents yet he still got by them and stopped them

Always stopped his opponents faster the second time than he did the first .

    Always went for the knockout

All opponents were more gifted athletically ,talented ,skilked than he(marciano) was

Just a brawler they call him. Limited. Yet they had 49 fights to beat him . and in 49 fights no one could beat him .

If it was so easy many fighters would do it today.

Not even todays heavyweights can do what rocky has done .

Holmes was close to 49-0 and he couldn't do it cuz he left it to the judges creating controversy

Rocky did not leave it to the judges at all

Marcianos entire resume is better than todays heavies

Fury fights a good fighter once every leap year

Wilder limited and just lost .

AJ hit the canvas and quit

Rocky hit the canvas twice (walcott and moore)

He got up and finished them off

Ali said marciano would be his toughest from past champions

Call him whatever you want "small attrition puncher" call him whatever you want .

But it's gonna take alot to beat his record and to do what hes done . look at everything i posted above .

He was a brawler who started late. But not even the more skilled the more gifted and more experienced fighters of his could beat this "brawler"

Its gonna be along time before we can see another heavy weight do what rocky did

    4 all time greats

    Charles
    Walcott
    Louis
    Moore

    Retired undefeated

Highest KO ratio in heavyweight history

Never stopped and never beaten in 49 fights

(KO ratio isnt cemented until the boxer retires ,if not then we would be rating a bunch of heavyweight prospects with 90% KO ratio and ten fights)

Well, Charles and Moore were light heavyweights that moved up, and were past their primes. Joe Louis was a shell and Walcott was 37 years old. Wins on a resume can be voided as great by circumstances, geez, Camacho has Duran and Ray Leonard on his.

There are arguments that Charles, Moore and Walcott were all prime

Personally I subscribe to the theory that Moore and Walcott were

Also, Camacho wasn't undefeated nor lineal, never the best man in his era

Hard to describe prime as past 37 years old .

Oh, and Archie Moore was I believe just a couple months short of his 42nd birthday when he fought Marciano. Hard case to make for prime there.

Tyson beat even older Holmes and also was beaten by ex cruiser who was 6 years older than him called Holyfield! If you compare that with Rocky then you would see that Rocky wins were better!
Louis was younger than Holmes and didn't have that layoff!
And Charles was only 3 years older unlike Holyfield who was past his best!
    Tyson lost Marciano won!
    And you still hate Marciano?

Walcott is the one I'm most confident in, Moore, you just need to read the numbers for

How dangerous were Walcott Charles and Moore when Marciano fought them?

I see Waclott (first time) and Moore, as being better versions of themselves than Charles was.

Walcott whatever his age, had just won the title and defended it successfully, and he obviously had no intention of giving it up. I also feel that his performance against Marciano, was a bit better than those of Charles or Moore.

Charles had clearly gone back a bit since he was champion, but he gave Marciano two competitive fights because he was such a great fighter, and had a bit of luck thrown in.

Now Moore was at his heavyweight peak on paper. There might be a better hypothetical heavyweight version of Moore, but it never existed.

I feel that Marciano basically controlled the fights with Charles and Moore, apart from the fluke injury in the second Charles fight. I don't think that he was in control in the first fight against Waloctt.
