im sure by now everyone on esb has heard that floyd apparently said in an interview hes retiring for two more years.

I personally dont think hes being serious. We know floyd loves the spotlight. Would he really announce something as big as this in an interview like that??? Besides floyd wants money. End of story. If its not pac hell find someone and fight again.

Now ifff he is being serious i would be soo pissed offf. With all the damm hype about a pac fight it would literally be the worst reason for the fight to fall through. rRETIRING??? I think if he doess retire it would open a huge can of worms about ducking. I think floyd does need this fight more than pac. And i feel he would beat pac if they fought. So i dont get whyy he would retire instead of taking the fight. Isit coz he insists on up to the day drug testing?? But in previous negotiations he agreed to a 14 day window?

The only possible reasn i can see as to why he might retire insetad of face pac is coz he probably believes the effects of the 'ped's are still in pac. Even though he may have stopped taking them now. But who knows. Maybe he is genuinly ducking him!

Time will tell. But lyk i said i dont think he will retire

The proof is already in the pudding. Or in this case, Floyd's flagrant bull****.

He "retired" how many times now?

I think it's more of a "**** you" and "**** off" to everyone. to be honest.

Floyd has the boxing world in the palm of his hands.

When he gets hit cleanly it's breaking, frontpage news. When other fighters get hit they're considered "warriors" giving it their all.

When he says something shocking people can't stop talking about it for days. When other fighters do stupid **** it's ignored.

When he fights he makes moar cash than anyone else. When all these "exciting", beloved boxers with fan friendly styles go to work, they wish they were making as much.

    I think it's all bull****.

If Mayweather was retiring, why would he be negotiating with Pac?

Floyd's statements about retiring can be used against him by Arum to fukk up his legacy. All Arum has to do now is to pull out of the fight and say that the reason the negotiations fell through was because Floyd didn't really want to make the fight. Then Floyd will be crucified by the boxing world for ducking Pac and his legacy will be tarnished forever. He will be known as the Ducker of the Decade while Arum goes about his merry way making more money from Pac's fights with Margs, Cotto or Foreman.

thing is though how do we know negotiations are even going on rightnow? What if the fight has fallen through and pbf feels theres no1 out there to fight now.

That's the fight everyone wants, if there was no negotiating, Pac would of never said he accepted 14 days.

EDIT - Plus multiple reports are out they started negotiating.

Isn't the definition of "retire" to leave and not come back?
