I'm just starting off here with my first thread/post, but i have been following the board for the longest time. Ok, Larry in my opinion is neither racist nor biased against a fighter because of his colour or background. However, he is pretty old school and has an image of a perfect champion in his heart that he compares every fighter against. Now, fighters like Pac or cotto or even Ortiz act very gracious and humble when in front of the camera (the only time they are in front of Larry) so he has natural admiration for them. On the other hand fighters like Floyd are very outspoken and really are not concerned about what anyone think of them or say about them. In my opinion, this somehow irks Larry. He is an old senile fool who is dick-riding Pacman to the fullest because he fulfills that image of a powerful yet humble fighter. But, being a journalist i think he should be objective and be interested in facts on their face value. He should not ride the emotions of the crowds or what casual fans feel is a real fight (This is BOXING fools). We all know Mayweather would have eventually stopped Ortiz if he kept doing what he was doing, but Larry would much rather ride the crowd's emotions and his own bias against defensive fighters when in truth they are entitled to speak their mind after a 2~3 month long hard camp and a battle. I say HBO should bring in Roy to replace Larry. See, how he reacts to losing his job to a slick bigmouth fighter :yep:yep
if floyd dont care, why did he flip out at merchant? if floyd dont care, why did he cry at presser? atschatschatschatschatsch you stupid.
Larry has gotten on my nerves before to be sure. But I honestly don't think he's as big a dick rider as Lampley. And every time I start thinking they should put Larry to pasture, he pulls out a one-liner that would shame any late night host...Did you see Wlad vs Haye? He had me rolling!
I don't remember which fight it was. But I remember back when Floyd was known as Pretty Boy. And after his fight Larry interviewed him and was totally out of line with some of the **** he was saying. I mean this was back when Floyd was the boxer/puncher and a nice kid. After the interview was over I couldn't believe how Floyd kept his composure as I would have ripped into Larry's disrespectful ass. That was the first time I really started to dislike Larry.
Who the **** mentioned Floyd here ? I was talking about Larry, because i read ppl were labelling him to be a racist. I think hatred of certain fighters has distorted reality for you. Now dont turn into a tree here, bro! :rofl
Damn you put me on the spot when I can't remember verbatim. I know at one point, someone said the word fight. Maybe it was Harold. Larry: "This is a fight?" Might not be funny out of context. See if its on youtube. I can't. Work computer
Chill out broseph, no need to cuss. In general he doesnt bother, his long layoffs and not caring about or responding much to media about allegations of ducking, talking about money, burning money, showing off his castle to the poor desolate troops...... I mean are you still not convinced that he does what he wants, in general he dont give a **** about the media, fans or even his family. Now lets focus on the point i was trying to make, kool? :!:
