Aren't you the same crew who thought Hatton was "top notch" and have recently unleashed Carl Froch on the boxing world? :think

I would say your opinion on the art of boxing is "shite"! :yep

    (Just kidding.)

That would be a reasonable opinion if Margarito wasn't so effective having already destroyed Cotto and beaten Clottey (though that win is debatable due to a strong initial showing and injury). Also if you are downgrading the destruction of Margarito, I don't know how you can't downgrade the wins over drained DLH and softend Cotto. :think

Pac-Mosley would have been a hell of a fight. Arum screwed the pooch.

I agree with you actually , this is not a bad post , i actually fancy Pac more than i fancy Shane against Floyd , added to that i fancy Floyd more than i do Pac against Shane , in summary i give the nod to Mayweather against Mosley , Pacquiao against Mayweather and Mosley against Pacquiao dont ask me why i just do !!!!!!!

Anyway , this is a no brainer , this essentially is a mini tourney and the winner is fighting the winner (including Clottey) because you would have to think should he some how beat Pacquiao he's gettin the winner of the other two .

As for re matches go , i think if Pac , Shane or Floyd can come out of this triangle 2 & 0 you can safely wave goodbye to who ever it is , and here is why :

Who ever loses in the Floyd Mosley fight becomes irrelevant to Pacquiao should he beat Clottey as he will be getting the winner , therefore from the 3 mentioned if any of them go 2 & 0 whats left to prove , nothing !!!!!

The only way i see another match in the triangle is if Pac beats Clottey , Shane beats Mayweather and then Shane beats Pac , if this happens providing Mayweather has the balls we may see Pacquiao Mayweather because whether Floyd loses to Shane or not people would still wanna see that fight .

    Thsnks

What i'm really hoping for is kind of a Leonard, Hearns, Hagler thing without Hagler getting Robbed. Sugar and Money will probably fight twice. Winner fights Pac, and loser fights Pac with each one, one up the other. It would be classic.

Thats a great theory and i too hope it happens but you have these factors :

Floyd is inteterested in money before legacy

Pacquiao has his legacy and wants to be the president of the Phillipines one day .

Mosley is really the only game fighter , he out of the 3 would probably be the only one who'd do it again and again if the chance come his way !!!!!

Thats y i hope he wins. Floyd won't back down from the money a rematch would make him, and if he wins one of them will get pac somehow. and if no den a rubber match would be good too

Interesting debate. Whilst I respect all opinions in this thread, I am quite astonished that people think Manny's style would cause Mayweather real problems. I would like to add that I think Manny is a suberb boxer and the way he has move up different weight class yet still have the ability to carry his power is tremendous. However, I saw enough of the Cotto-Manny fight to notice that a pure boxer like Mayweather would frustrate Manny. Make no mistake about it, when Cotto started to box little instead of trading with Manny, he definitely looked the better fighter and in those few moments, he did pose problems for Manny. (Roach admitted this himself). Had he stuck to the game-plan I think the result would have been alot closer. Unfortunately, a red mist seemed to dawn on Cotto and so he decided to go toe to toe with Manny, thus making the fight easier for Pacquiao to win. I think Mayweather is smart enough to realise that he is at his best when a fightter comes on to him, as it enables him to pick them off on the counter from time to time.

One thing I shall say though is those people that constantly criticise Mayweather for adopting a boring style of boxing, I believe don't appreciate boxing enough. Without trying to come across as patronising (apologies if I come across this way) boxing is not just about two guys knocking the hell out of each other. I am sure I'm not alone in saying that it's exciting to see. However, I also get satisfaction from fighters, who have the ability to make full use of their boxing skills - in other words being more tactical and using fight intelligence to see their way to victory. It's not all about trading with another fighter........Having said that, Mayweather has proven in the past that he can fight toe to toe. People seem to forget his fight against Phillip Ndou and more noticeably DeMarcus Corley. He actually took the fight to them and whilst he may have got hit a few times he showed that he can fight on both the back foot and front foot and still look good. He did the same for moments in the Hatton fight.

Whoever thinks Manny can beat Floyd is crazy dude is tailor made just ask Freddie...and I quote "We need more time to prepare for a style like Mayweather's".

Directly after the Cotto fight they asked Manny "Would you like to fight Mayweather next" Manny's reaction " I...I...I..think I go on vacation" they know the deal.

As far as Mosley...he'll be stopped in the 11th. Bernard will throw in the towel for him personally since he got him into this ****...

Then you will just have to go by the nature of each contest & see which one will be best to replay.

Personally, I think Mayweather will outbox both (well, Pac wont take the fight I dont think but I pray Im wrong)

I dont know. Mosley is old and the first thing to go with a fighters age is reflexes. I dont think Mosley's reflexes is as it used to be, throw in the fact that both Pac & PBF are the fastests guys in the sport p4p and that just causes more problems for those aging eyes.

Note the 3 older fighters in Hopkins, RJJ & Mosley has had success with slow plodding fighters? Wright was slow plodding at LHW who stood there, Pavlik was slow plodding, Lacy was plodding, Margo was slow plodding, even Mayorga is stationary. Last time they fought somewhat speedy boxers they both lost, Taylor/Calzaghe & Cotto.

They been saying that for the last 3 fights. :D

DLH will be Pac's true test at getting hit by a bigger man. DLH was drained.

Hatton will be Pac's first true test of getting hit and muscled by a stronger man. Hatton got KTFO too quickly.

Cotto will be Pac's first true test, bigger and more skilled. Cotto was shot and drained.
