Totally fine, but I think he'd beat Cotto easier than he did Lemieux and Canelo just as easy. Neither of them "test" him, imo. They're great names and world champions, but from what I'm seeing, Golovkin is visibly superior in almost every aspect.

"For all of us who said Golovkin was allowing Monroe to hit him, we were right. Golovkin's defense was extremely impressive. He was slipping, rolling, and parrying David's shots for majority of the fight. If you went back and watched the fight in slow-motion, you would be equally impressed with Golovkin's defense as you would be watching Mayweather's defense. Not saying their defense is equally as good, but that it is impressive nonetheless. There were techniques too that he used that reminded me of Mayweather. "

God you're stupid. He wasn't letting him hit him, Monroe is more technically sound than Lemieux and throws faster combinations. Lemieux throws bombs which are easy to avoid. Could Golovkin fight more defensively against Monroe and take less shots? Yes, but he DIDNT let him hit him, he fought a certain style, and if you fight that style you get HIT.

Very good post. GGG definitely has all the tools, as you would expect with someone with the amateur background that he has. Except for great speed that is, but his technique and timing more than make up for that. Same with a fighter like Lomanchenko

GGG definitely is a great boxer, but let's not get carried away here. He dismantled a guy who got outboxed by Joachim Alcine, c'mon. Outboxing him isn't that impressive. Abuffy has been hyping this event for MONTHS, let's be honest it was a HUGE disappointment, and out of the comments on youtube etc, I've seen that most people regretted buying the PPV and thought it was a horrible one. Of course there are the diehard fans like Abuffy who will defend it no matter how terrible the card was for a PPV.

c'mon cj did you really expect any other kind of reaction from abuffy? if there wasn't one punch thrown for the first 6 rounds by golovkin she'd still find a way to praise him. you can call me a mayweather nuthugger all you like but I never made a thread praising mayweather about berto, maidana, ortiz, guerrero etc.

I doubt that very much , I would pick Monroe to beat Lemieux .

Monroe has superior footwork and defence .
