My Thoughts on Adamek vs Cunningham 2

I just can't see an argument in favor of Adamek winning the fight. Sure he was the one moving forward, but he also was getting tagged clean repeatedly while doing so. Cunningham beat him to the punch time and time again and both outboxed and outworked Adamek. The majority of punches Adamek landed where in the last 10 seconds of the round, but he was beaten to the punch and outlanded for at least 2 minutes of the majority of the rounds. Adamek did well in the last two or three rounds when he actually let his go for the entire round and didn't simply stalk without throwing many punches.

 

Ali, Tunney, Whitaker, Mayweather, Wlad, Pep...

Bunch a bums man who never won a fight!

 

He was moving forward and threw more power punches but he was out boxed. I had it to Cunningham by two or three rounds. It could be that ringside it looked different, I'd hope that rather than some bias.

 

23 press row scores. 20 for Cunningham, 2 draw, 1 Adamek. Only way the fight could look different is if you closed your eyes and flipped a coin after each round. Roach + Flores score close fights to build drama

 

Bit dodgy how they changed the score, laughed when Cunningham looked so disappointing after the announced draw, and then they announced his loss, bet he was wishing for that draw back.

Thought Cunningham won but he was running throughout the whole night. Think fans need to learn that every time a runner gets "robbed", maybe they're not getting robbed, maybe they're getting told to stop running. It happens so many times. Judges favour aggresors, Adamek was pressing the action.

Seems some of these defensive fighters are fighting for a draw, or some kind of close decision. They never turn it up and capitalize on their solid punches.

There were times when Cunningham landed a good solid shot, but completely went back to the backfoot looking for another timed CP.
I mean, when you land a golden shot like that, come forward and throw a combo while he's catching his senses.:rofl

Hats off to Steve for not trying to prove he's the tougher guy, but when you score, follow that **** up and capitalize. Take that f/n rd when it's yours to be had, don't allow the judges to swing.:-(

Naw.....Looks like Buffer mistook her 113 for 115. Then, after he'd finished reading it, she took a look and saw he mispoke. It seems her scored was rightly 115-113 for Adamek, but it was read incorrectly by Buffer as 115 cuz the 3 looked a bit like a 5, and then someone, maybe her, maybe Buffer, I don't remember, but then it was added up wrong, only to be recorded right.:roll:

Kindof a shitty way for USS to lose, but as some of us agree, he's gotta fight 3 minutes of a rd, and make the judges see it for him.:shock:

 

It was very clear Cunningham deserved the win live, too.

 

I wouldn't say Adamek was pressing the action. He was moving forward, sure, but he was getting repeatedly tagged while moving forward and had Cunningham on the ropes plenty of times and did not throw.

The only time Adamek consistently pressed the action was the last 10 seconds of the round inwhich he'd flurry and force Cunningham to exchange with him.

 

I don't remember ever comparing him to Mayweather, I asked how is Mayweather undefeated if you're not giving people rounds for backing up.

If a fight is backing up and hitting you clean with counter punches as you come in and the only time you throw is the last 10 seconds then you don't win the ****ing round it's as simple as that.

The last 4 rounds of De La Hoya vs Trinidad were nothing like what Cunningham was doing last night and you know it, that fight was also a robbery.

Steve got jobbed, and once again we see a less marketable guy get screwed for the bigger name fighter.

When it comes to robberies, it's not a Germany thing. It's not a U.S. thing. It's a boxing thing, and it's been going on for well over 100 years now. Lord knows how many fans it's cost the sport.
