I am so thankful for the boxers coming from EE. Not because of where they are from, I don’t care about that, but because they increased the talent pool depth. They have over the past few decades added new style and depth in every division they have fought in. We would no have nearly as many good fights which are hard enough to come by lately without them. The problem is too many titles. Take any division and make a single title and then just rank the top guys and it will look decent. But with multiple titles it smells bad. Sorry for Thinking for some reason of how much I would have liked to see prime Kovalev vs Stevenson for example. Or how heavyweight had titles with guys fighting lower tier fighters instead of their peers ( Deontay, I am talking about you) At SMW the super six was a good time a few years back. Now it and MW are somewhat of a mess. Still love boxing and I have been watching for 40+ years but the sport is it’s own worst enemy.
Usually ( with 1 expection in Loma ) they also does have more difficult road to first title fights than their counterparts from western countries, also not rare cases when their fights are with biased commentators, refs and judges and a lot of western posters in internet are devaluing all their achievements. While some western boxer might beat up boxer who had 4 lost fights in row before this fight and get a title shot and this is cool, EE boxers for their haters usually always will be overrated, bummy, bad, hyped and like this. Western commentators and forums posters not rare cases are hating them because their way of thinking is : these are needed in this business only to pad our lads fights records and if this doesn't happen, then something is wrong with business and boxing.
Im just thankful for boxers with talent from all over the world....their nationality does not concern or bother me
That’s your thought on boxing? Not one greater body that rules all and unifies rules, sets standards, and improves match ups/scoring/etc? Nah, just thankful for EE fighters, wowzers.
George had won title as underdog vs undefeated prime Frazier, my kid and you are kid thinking that he is nurse. You never in your life will be able to pass exams to be nurse, God does knows this and also your real IQ level.
Would read a lot better with without abbreviations and with paragraphs. Assumed you meant the east end initially while reading
Tournaments are always fun, I can't think of one people didn't like. They promote themselves, the winner is a new star, the losers lost to a star, and all you need are a few graphics and a trophy. Never understood why they aren't running at least annually. It doesn't have to be the top heavyweights, they liven up any division.
Not the only thing although I admit it reads that way That was what was on my mind at the moment though. Should have titled it one of my thoughts on boxing and gotten it proofread though.
