After watching quite a few of his fights, as long as Wladamir doesn't underestimate him it will be an easy nights work with an early stoppage He throws wide, looping punches which is best negoiated with hard straight punches, which Wladamir is excellent at. He relies heavily on the right hand and tires after round 5. He has a good jab for a heavyweight but Wladamirs is one of the best in the game. Chisoras only chance is to take the fight to Wladamir and go crazy for 5 rounds. He needs to be ahead at this stage or its game over Wladamir is always in excellent condition and as long as he doesn't take any shots early he can stop Chisora quite early. Probably not as early as the Haye v Harrison fight. Probably round 5/6 as long as he doesn't coast which is what he normally does until Emanuel steward shouts at him to close the show! Chisora will be brave but he wont have enough to trouble Wladamir. But this is heavyweight boxing, one punch can change a fight which always makes it exciting...... And Chisora, like He-man says does "have the power!"
This is an easy nights work for Wlad, in my opinion. Chisora doesn't have the foot speed or good enough head movement to get inside of Wlad's jab and there is no way Chisora is going to out jab Wlad and get inside that way. Also, does Chisora have the power to truly hurt Wlad? Chisora has only fought at British domestic level and i would hardly say he is lighting up the British HW division with his power. He is not going to be able to land enough shots on Wlad to wear him down so his only real hope is by landing one big shot. I don't know if he will be powerful enough to stop Wlad. Obviously being a HW he could hurt Wlad but once Wlad's head clears he can go back to keeping Chisora behind his jab, just like he did to Peter in their first fight. Chisora deserves a lot of respect for taking this fight as he is fighting the best HW in the world and he himself is only at domestic level but i believe he is going to get a beating. How good his chin is will depend on how long the beating lasts.
How come does he deserve respect, the guy is a nobody getting a big paycheck, all of us would except in his position.
Povetkin didn't and many people in boxing hide away from the toughest test. It is one of the main problems in boxing, fighters ducking other fighters so i have respect for a novice risking a massive beating by stepping into the right with Wlad.
Povetkin doesnt count he is actaully a good fighter that was just affraid of losing and atlas ruined him, but he could still make money. A guy like chisora makes little money then gets thsi offer that pays him way more of course he accepts, same way sosnowski did with vitali. same ****.
The Chisora and Sosnowski situation is not comparable, in my opinion. Whilst there is not a huge difference in age between these two(Chisora 27/Sosnowski 31) Sosnowski has had a long career and had peaked by the time he fought Vitali. Sosnowski didn't really deserve his shot as his best wins were against Vidoz, a past it Danny Williams and a blown up, inexperianced Herelius and he even had a (contraversial) draw with the limited Pianetta. For Sosnowski to get a legit shot at the title he would have had to fight better opposistion and there is a good chance that he would not have been succesful, so when he got the chance to by pass better fighters than him and get a shot at Vitali he jumped at it. Chisora on the other hand is a relative novice with more upside. He is a long way of from his peak and whilst he to does not deserve his title shot he could have earned one in the future. Obviously it would be a long road to a legit title shot. He would have to test himself at Euro level, then fringe world level ,then start beating some contenders before he got his deserved shot, but with the state of the HW division, not to mention how weak it will be in a few years time when the Klit's retire, i believe Chisora could get a legit shot at a title then. So for a guy who is inexperienced and who truly believe's he is good enough to work his way up the rankings, learning his trade and eventually win a title, to throw that plan out of the window and go for Wlad now is something that i have respect for.
Respect? Me personally i call it greed! Chisora knows he is a domestic level fighter and this may be the only ever big pay day he will ever get! He can talk to the press saying he will knock Wlad out but its all bollox i think he believes his own hype like Audley. Because of this domestic bum getting a shot we may never see Haye vs Wlad and i not saying chisora is a twat for that iom saying it because he has no amature experience, he beats women and he is getting a shot after 14 fights!
You say that they both didnt deserve the show when they received it, I agree with you on that. We dont know how Chisora would ahve turned out could very well be the same kind of path as sosnowski. Current heavyweight division is nothing, It isnt like if he lsoes this fight he si done, he can win 2 fights and get a shot at someone else. Haye leave sthis year, I think vitali leaves as well. Picking up a vacant belt or facing other ´top guys´ in this division is always a possibility for him. Him accepting this fight is completely logical to me. Khan chosing to face maidana was brave because maidana is a bad style matchup and could cost him his carreer. Taking a challenge with little risk is a good thing, look at what happened with vitali when he took on lewis.
How can you say in the same sentence that Chisora knows he is domestic level at best then say he belives his own hype? Why is it when ever a guy gets an underserved shot everyone cliams he is only in it for the money? Obviously the money is a big plus point as we all want money, but am i naive in thinking that ambition and the chance to accomplish your dreams and creating a huge upset may also play a part? Maybe an even bigger part than money?
Easy fight for Wlad, how much of an underdog is Chisora in this matchup anyway? I guess 10-12 to 1 or something like that?! I can't find one skill asset on this guy that can make it a difficult fight, he has a "punchers chance" without having a real punch to begin with. It's going to be Wlad's 50th KO victory.
chisora needs to look at this fight as a 4 rounder if he's to have any chance of winning, he needs to come out like a man posessed get in wlads face with constant pressure and just go for it, if nothing has worked in the first 4 rounds then hopefully chisora is clever enough to do some dirrell acting and hope the saves him, no point in eating jabs for 12 rounds is there. i think chisora will have his moment but it wont be enough.
That jab is gonna destroy Chisora's face. Chisora's a woman beater as well. I know that has nothing to do with boxing, but he's trash inside & outside the ring.
