He needs to improve dramaictaly over night. That's not going to happen. Cotto is very good but he just not at that level.

Wow this is the most educated, non-hating, non-dickriding thread I've read here in ESB. Great analysis form all of you guys. I see Cotto winning this one, He def has the tools to pull it off.

bozo, floyd is better at everything than cotto and hes also bigger, longer reach, faster

hows he going to set traps , floyd is smarter than him, he might make it close by hitting floyds gloves and the crowd goin wild

I think this is going to be a closer and interesting fight than what peoPle expect here. Some guys think that Floyd will just walk Cotto down as if Cotto is a punching bag and that's not going to happen... Floyd is the favorite so we exPect to be dominant, however, after the fight is over, I wouldn't be surprise if people would start saying that Floyd is slipping, or in decline or anything of that nature and probably those comments are going to happen because Cotto will make things very interesting and intriguing... Anyway, we haven't seen anyone having Floyd's number as Marquez has Pac's number... Maybe Cotto has Floyds's number... Just maybe...

False. (And not only that, but it appears you can't spell.)

Post something technical that's relevant to my original post and indicates you're actually knowledgeable about the sport. Otherwise, ascribe to the third category outlined and remind yourself that ignorant posters need not reply.

Cotto is definitely going to have his moments in that fight. I don't think he's going to have much success with his hooks as some of you are implying he might/will. I do think Cotto will land few right hand over the top, but not at a consistent basis.

Good post. The thing with the bold part is that, Floyd has much better timing than Mosley does. He knows when to get off at the right time, Cotto has good timing as well, but i don't think he's going to have many chances to get his punches off first against Floyd as he did against Margarito/Mayorga/Foreman. You're right though, Cotto has a chance to win it because anything can happen and possible in any sports/life.

Bald_Toad, Floyd is not bigger than Cotto, OK? Cotto is 154 pounder while Floyd is 147 pounder.

Great job Bogo! I find it interesting that Im not the only one thinking Miguel should switch to southpaw at times. This can negate Floyd's ability to adapt and open the door for the straight left which he seems to be susceptible to. Moving laterally and punching in combinations will be a key element as well. Floyd was very active against Ortiz as opposed to his usual, methodical, chess like performances. This can benefit Cotto's offensive set-up to time and punch in between. I also noticed Floyd has a habit of forcing space with his forearm when on the inside, exposing his body to a left hook. He needs to make him pay for this.

    BTW...Quality thread:good

Cotto has to try and bully Mayweather around with his bigger frame and heavier body.
