I'm not going to say anything negative about the guy (even though I took Pavlik in the 1 month off bet). Not only did he take this in the first place, but he came out and fought with alot of heart today and nearly won early. He might've got KO'd, but he put up one hell of a fight in one of the best middleweight fights I've ever seen. Props to Taylor and Pavlik both for that fight tonight.
Respect to both fighers for making this fight happen. And great props to Kelly for proving a lot of people wrong, including me.
Good thread....I called a Pavlik win and thought JT was going to make me eat my words...I knew Pavlik was going to eventually get over that lazy guard..but JT is flawed but no HYPE or FRAUD. That is insanity to the straight jacket order. Meds anyone...did you miss your hater dose.
Pavlik definitely surprised me. I thought for sure Taylor would win, but I was rooting for Kelly all night. This fight had me jumping out of my chair in excitement. Great fight.
I picked Kelly to win by TKO because I thought Taylor would get tired/lazy based on bernard and the winky fight..he tends to spends alot of time in the corner later on in his fight and not really throwing punches ....but tonight he fought very well out of the corner but stoped in the last and ended up getting trashed. Pavlik showed alot of heart/smarts and impressed me after getting clobbered like that only to recover and put on constant pressure to win TKO I belive Taylor could have ended the fight in the 2nd round if he didn't back off and give kelly space , anyways I thought the fight was stoped a little too early ..I thought Taylor was hurt but not to the point where he would get KO'ed, he wasn't really given the chance to recover because the ref jumped in he should've took a knee instead on standing there making the situation look worst than it really was
