My thoughts on Vernon Forrest, and who should Pavlik fight next.

First off, I just found out that Vernon Forrest was murdered with his family in the car. Unless you know the circumstances, don't assume the worse yet. You lose it when your wife and child are in danger. Vernon is from my generation, and I'm sad over his passing. Forrest is one of the most respected boxing guys in the boxing business. He was avoided like the plague during his career, but never took it personal. The one time he did talk trash, it was because of imo, he had, had enough of the politics destroying boxing. Few cared about his style, but respected the man. This is very, very sad.

Pavlik has nobody to fight at MW. It looks like he will fight Williams, but if that doesn't happen, I would like to see PAv fight Bika or Green. hopefully PAv will move to 168. We don't need to see him fighting bums at 160. 160 will make a come back, just not now.

I know. Arum had this dream of making Pav a big star and threw his man in with a lion in ole Hop, and now nobody is checking for Pav.:-(

 

Look, I'll give tribute to Forrest when the time comes, but to think it is disrespectful is kind of dubious. I'm waiting for all the facts to come in, and talk a little boxing. If you have not met the man or shook his hand, then why even write what some of you have wrote?
