Canelo isn't a bad fighter the boy has some skills but he won no more than 2 rounds in that fight. He got a boxing lesson period end of discussion.

Hey ********, we live in the day of the internet, so when you are going to spit numbers don't be wrong, even if its only by a slim 25%. :patsch

I watched the fight after most people and was actually quite surprised, I'd read a lot about a master class performance etc.

I did have Mayweather pretty much winning every round but hardly dominated a round in my opinion, thought Canelo did alright.

I thought Canelo was holding his own through the first 6 rds. Then FMJ started taking over but I need to watch it again.

It was like watching a 1-0 win in a World Series game.
(Floyd pitched a complete game shutout)

Not much action but plenty of defensive plays & strategy.

If you're gonna lie to yourself you might as well lie big and say it was an out right robbery of Canelo.

I had canelo winning the 12th and thats it...

A few people here scoring it close or saying "there was alotof close rounds" i have to ask
    1. Were you factoring in arm, shoulder and blocked punches or something? I felt mayweather employed a very amateur styled boxing strategy that involved him being more aggressive and sending 3 punches for the rare one canelo landed.. And it worked

    2. Give any points for defence? - harrold lettermen states you are supposed to score 25% of your score for defence. In rounds that were "close" i think are so because floyd was lass active (but had much greater accuracy and landed cleaner blows) whilst canelo through more combinations yet barely any landed. To me the rounds wernt that close at all basing them purely on effective aggression (punches landed etc) but when defence is factored in, its an easy night for floyd

For argument sake i did see a few body shots canelo landed that judges did not acknowldge but floyd won 10 out of 12 easily

Round 12 i gave to canelo due to inactivity on floyds part
An round 8 i felt floyd won but me and my mate agreed ("if they had to find a round to canelo, this would be it")

I always watch fights sober, and it looked to me like Floyd dominated Canelo. The first rounds weren't as one sided as the middle-last, but Floyd won most of them.

I think it depends how you look at the fight to be honest.

On fight night I pretty much had it 12-0 floyd, although I feel 10-2 would also have been appropriate. I think after the build up in which Alvarez was seen to have a real chance and then seeing him on fight night looking HUGE compared to Mayweather, I was just blown away with how Mayweather dominated the fight. He was walking him down, landing solidly throught the rounds and never really got hit in the face, cleanly once.

When i watched the fight for a second time, whereby you're aware of the result, I thought it was a little closer. However, the only shots canelo was landing was arm shots and the occasional body shot.

How anyone can consider it a draw is a mystery

The fight wasn't boring. Floyd came to fight. These guys get hit, or can't hit Floyd and come to the conclusion that they will just last 12, turn into a counterpuncher rather than suffer embarrassment of being outboxed. Floyd gets called boring for that, and not going in for the finish against these guys.

To please you guys, Floyd should've just went toe to toe and said the hell with boxing, brawl!

Pathetic! We need a Jesus Chavez type fighter to face Floyd, not a Jose L. Castillo.
