I've seen quite a lot of fights in my short life, and these are the ones that standout. A great fight for me doesn't neccesarily have to be as action packed as Gatti/Ward, but if the drama and competitiveness is there, it would qualify for me. Here's my top 3. They change sometimes, as does my favourite anything. 1. Barrera vs Morales I There are more action packed fights. This one didn't have much blood, or any legitimate knockdowns, but it's the definition of a great fight. Both fighters throwing many punches, and landing with regularity, but both fighters are incredibly skilled. There is a science to their work, and considering it was the two best Mexican fighters of their generation in the same ring, made it even more special and dramatic. Round 5 summed up the fight, just as one man seems to be getting better of the other, things take a dramatic turn. My favorite. [yt]GxWjGRhjEhc[/yt] 2. Corrales vs Castillo 1 Unfortunately, I wasn't much of Boxing fan during this time, so it wasn't until recently that I watched it in full. I don't need to explain what happened that night, but both Corrales vs Castilo went toe to toe for 10 rounds, with multiple knockdowns, and both fighters landing and hurting one another. It's beautiful, and could easily be number 1. Round 8 is my favourite round, not 10. [yt]CFf3uXBR50o[/yt] 3. Cotto vs Margarito I think this fight gets preference because I watched it as it was happened, and my fighter one the fight. The action isn't even up there with Vasquez Marquez 3 that happened this year also, but the drama and the significance of the fight was huge. Cotto was outboxing Margarito until the mid rounds, where he was dramatically hurt, and then later stopped. Cotto was landing unbelievable shots, but Margarito just kept coming. A favourite. Cant Agree With That List Either...let Me Guess Your Mexican? Corrales Castillo Was An Awesome Fight...how Can You Not Have And Gatti Vs. Ward On There? Or Tito Vs. Vargas? Pacquiao Vs. Marquez 1? Your List Sounds Biased...but Then Again, Nothing New, I Wouldnt Expect Less
One Of My Personal Fav's Vic Vs. Mijares...lmao Mijares Pounded His Chest While Vic Pounded His Face...vic Whoop His Ass Like Mijares Stole His Moms Purse And Vic Went Back To Retrieve It...put That In Your Classic "macho Warrior" Pipe And Smoke It...lol
Darchinyan performed excellently in that fight. Not a favourite of mine though, it wasn't competitive enough. I've lost count how many times I've heard, "let me guess, your mexican". Actually, I'm British and I've never stepped foot outside of Europe. :goodKind regards.
Whats wrong with this guy...sounds like he smoked up the wrong tree lol. Did some mexican dudes beat your ass and steal your lunch money lol
NEVER THAT HOMIE...JUST TIRED OF THE B.S. "MEXICAN WARRIOR" LABLE GIVEN TO FIGHTERS WHO BLOCK PUNCHES WITH THEIR FACE...LMAO
THE ONLY ONE "SMOKING UP THE WRONG TREE" (WHATEVER F-CKED UP ENGLISH THAT IS) IS THAT RING MAGAZINE COVER WITH MAGARITA ON IT...THAT QUESTION SHOULD HAVE BEEN "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN IN THE RING?" BUT ITS ALL GOOD WE ALL KNOW HE JUST WAITING FOR THE NEXT "FOLDING JOHNSON" TYPE OPPONENT...LMAO
