    2008. The lineal and wbo champ was erdei, the ring champ was calzaghe, the wbc was diacanou, the ibf was dawson, the wba was campillo... I think.

    Either way I didn't score the joe fight for joe and hopkins victory over pavlik was better than anything else that year imo.

    Not enough contradictory sources for me to believe sam lost that fight b.

    A stanley on the downside was still good enough to smash the **** out of o'brien and still good enough to be the best around imo.

    Hopkins just lost matey, are you considering the an NC, blatant quit job imo. Btw Sainsuburys have 1litre bottles of Teachers for £14 and 15yo Glenlivet for £20 but those offers finish tomorrow I think

    And you forgot light middleweight, Weleterweight And arguably lightweight and light welterweight, but that is understandable.

    Well under the rules it's a technical draw I believe.

    But certainly dawson didn't do enough to prove his superiority over hopkins imo.

    Boiler, I agree with burns, he was fighting below the limit against other lhw's such as flynn and o'brien. just because he had the hw belt there;s no reason to penalise him.

    he did outgrow the division in 1908 however.

    Still can't justify placing fitz at the top until he beat gardner. there's just no good reason to assume he'd have beaten root at the start of 1903.

    Hello, Calzaghe beat Hopkins in April 2008 and then Calzaghe beat Jones Jnr in November 2008.

    Well it's my take hence I use my scorecards and by my cards joe lost a close fight against hopkins then won a dominant decision over jones jr.

    In the meantime hopkins won a close fight against joe and then won a dominant decision over pavlick.

    I think beating joe and kelly is better than losing to hopkins and beating jones jr.

    Calzaghe clearly won the fight, it wasnt even a controversial fight from a scoring point of view, you are putting your own spin on history because you dont like Calzaghe, Calzaghe out threw and outlanded Hopkins in every single round of the fight in Hopkins own backyard, Calzaghe won 116-111 and 115-112 on the scorecards.

    Calzaghe was the man at light-heavyweight after beating Hopkins, Calzaghe was at that momment in time the best light-heavyweight in the world.

    You got me, i've studied over a hundred years of lhw history because I don't like joe lmao.

    As one of england's most successful champions I was cheering him on that night and I thought he'd done enough. Rewatching a year ago I thought otherwise.

    He represents Wales not England, lived and brought up in Blackwood, Gwent, went to school in Wales and has a Welsh mammy.

    Calzaghe should be on your list, Calzaghe beat Hopkins fair and square, for crying out loud he outlanded Hopkins in every single round of the fight, Hopkins tried to cheat and the American ref let him, all three judges were American but still Calzaghe won 116-111 and 115-112 on two of the cards.
    You have an agenda, Calzaghe was the number one lightheavy weight at that point and you know it, dont try spouting rubbish in the classic section.
