Good stuff mate, some great shots there.

I always feel bad for Margarito when i see reminders of that fight. Mosley was ****ing brutal that night, the shots Margarito was taking were sickening and then theres the additional big kick up the arse in the form of the handwraps issue.

    How the badarse have fallen.

In which case, I'm settled on Roy Jones Jr vs John Ruiz. I can't think of a better alternative.

    I've got it.

Get rid of Oscar vs Vargas and throw in Mayorga vs Forrest 1.

Good point i would move De la hoya vs Vargas to Wright win over Mosley in the first fight.

how about Vitali coming out of 4 years of retirement and whooping Peter's ****ing ass from pillar to post. Peter was never a good heavyweight but I do think he was ranked #2 at the time.

It's not a bad shout but I think Ricardo Mayorga vs Vernon Forrest 1 definitely deserves to be on the list. Forrest was undefeated going into that fight, fresh off a win over the best fighter in the world, and then he gets destroyed in three rounds. Staggering.

Good point Philla i would put that myself but i don't consider Peter to be a real elite fighter regardless if he was top 2 heavyweight.

Actually Pharoah I thought about that win but I decided against it and put Oscar fight instead.

BTW your old name Pharoah was much cooler than your current one.

On that time i don't want to give excuses but Forrest had a bad injured shoulder in which after he lost twice to Mayorga he had like what a year or more layoff cause of surgery to the bad shoulder?

    Good effort, nice pics.

Based on your criteria, you have to find a place for Winky's 12-0 domination of Tito.

You also have to give mention to Hopkins/Tarver and Hopkins/Pavlik. These were pretty 12-0 shutouts also.

DLH/Vargas was competitive up until the end.

Don't know if Donaire and Vic belonged in the "elite" category when they fought.

A rematch ensued not but 5 months later? I don't think I can accept the excuse considering Forrest just got banged out of there - he wasn't seen to be struggling at all. I think it deserves a place on the list - nobody gave Mayorga a chance - Forrest was considered one of the best fighters in the world around that time.

Yea but benny don't want to put the same fighters on the list. Just one fighter dominating.

For the record De la hoya vs Vargas was like an even fight from round 1 to round 5 but when round 6 start to the end it was De la hoya beating up on Vargas.

I didn't read his second paragraph carefully. I get what TS is saying now.
