Think about addie, after Forrest lost twice to Mayorga, Forrest had a surgery to his left shoulder in which he was out for 2 years. Dude 2 years? Steward even mention that the Mayorga beating Forrest twice had to do something with the shoulder of Forrest.

He had another fight after this though, for all we know he sustained the injury during the rematch. If he was banged out of there as a result of his shoulder - he would not have fought again in just 5 months. All credit should go to Mayorga on this one - who just had the style to upset a cute boxer like Vernon.

    Nice list!

I like how you can see the towel in the Mosley-Margarito pic and that it's right in between them :good

Forrest has more guts then brain for wanting to fight Mayorga already. I guess Forrest wanted the rematch cause of the trash talk Mayorga did talking about Forrest his wife and Forrest mom. Forrest just couldn't take it in which he wasn't thinking about his health. I've Mayorga his credit but not a whole lot to be up in the top 10 best performance.

    We'll agree to disagree.

Mayorga spanked one of the best fighters in the world in just three rounds. This is a more dominating display than Oscar De La Hoya vs Fernando Vargas in my estimation, a fighter who was practically ruined by the Trinidad war back in 2000.

I'd replace De La Hoya Vargas with something like Tszyu Mitchell II or something.

    Vargas was doing well early.

Well i don't think Vargas was ruined. I bet if Vargas wasn't knockdown by Rivera, would anybody say Vargas was ruined? Also in De la hoya vs Vargas, De la hoya not only beat Vargas, he beat a steriods Vargas in which Vargas body almost look like Scott Steiner body. ( if you know who Steiner is)

I'm not interested in other circumstances which may or may not be true. I saw Oscar was weight drained going into the Manny Pacquiao, and his performance supported this notion. However, Mayorga just blasted out Forrest, who didn't look any different than he had on any other night - he just had an unpredictable, awkward flailing fighter in front of him. Had nothing to do with some so-called shoulder injury, which he didn't do anything about until after he would lose a return bout.

As for De La Hoya, who cares what Vargas was taking - the fight still wasn't all that one sided. This is a list consisting of one-sided dominating performances, and I just don't see any reason to list it above the likes of Mayorga vs Forrest 1 or Roy Jones vs John Ruiz - two genuinely one sided affairs. John Ruiz was most certainly elite when it came to the Heavyweights - love him or hate him.

It was 1 sided after the 5th round. As you say we can disagree or agree with this.

Also addie, you can make a case that Vargas was ruined going in the De la hoya fight, i can make a case that De la hoya was clearly not the same fighter doing that time. When De la hoya brought in Floyd Sr as his trainer, De la hoya was not the same fighter that beat Chavez twice, Camacho, Quartey, Carr and so on when he was undefeated.

Mayweather vs Gatti was the number one domination from start to finish. If you consider Lacy elite than surely a proven 2 time champ in Gati was as well and Floyd beat him worse than he did Diego. Floyd clowned him and Gatti didn't land a significant punch all fight

Lacy was the favorite to beat Calzaghe in which nobody gave Gatti a chance vs Floyd.

I would put Hopkins-Pavlik on the list and get rid of De La Hoya-Vargas. I was in shock when I saw that Hopkins-Pavlik fight and I'm sure 90% of the people were in shock too.
