    I would rather indulge into the opinions of the classic section, than general forum. To make this thread appropriate with the content of the forum, how does this year's top 10 stack up in relation to heavweight history?


    Linear Champion:

    Wladimir Klitschko IBF, WBO, RING belt- 6'6 245lb Age 33 81"


    1. Vitali Klitschko WBC- 6'7 250lb Age 38 79"
    2. David Haye WBA- 6'3 215lb Age 29 78"

    A very reasonable list, although I'm not so sure that Valuev is even deserving of a #7 spot these days... Its also debatable weather or not Chageav is still a top 5 heavy weight either..

    For the most part, nothing at all wrong with that, but I agree with Magoo and would, possibly prematurely place Adamek at #6. Valuev would be my #9.

    How about Solis instead of Arreola?

    SQ, where do you have Boystov, how close?

    Most importantly of all where is the mighty Sosnowski???

    Im with Magoo on Chagaev, he was outclassed by klit and david haye would grease him as well. Hes not the same fighter as he was pre hepatitis or will he IMO ever be again .So a top 5 ranking or even a top 10 is tough argument to make.

    I would bet on Chagaev to beat a LOT of guys at the lower end an just outside.

    The fact is, he simply hasn't done anything of great significance lately... The last truly good win he had was over Valuev, and I think its creeping up on 3 years since that fight happened. Whatever wins he's had over the past few years, have been too few, too indecisive and against inadequate opposition..

    He is very close. I just need one win from him over a marquee fighter and he is in. I have to give the benefit of the doubt to more experienced guys who have been fighting world class for a year or two now.

    I strongly thought about it. Thing is, I used to think highly of Arreola, but the manner in which he let himself get obesely out of shape, I don't think he will ever be able to get himself back on track again. I think Arreola in shape(235lb) is very dangerous. I just don't see it happening. So I am trying to find someone to replace him. Arreola did fight gallantly against Vitali, and had Adamek on ***** st a number of times..so at least he is proving himself some what on a world class level. Solis is another guy who is just one big win away from my top 10.


    Robert Helenius, Kubret Pulev all will be in there within a year or so


    He might be the biggest bum of all time

    That is yet to be seen , he fights in 3 days days against Meehan .Where is he ranked?

    I don't know, but I can't imagine him having any serious rating at all... Meehan is 40 years old and hasn't laced up since 2008.. I don't think that defeating an opponent of this calibur is going to do anything for Ruslan..

    Back to back losses arguably eliminate Arreola and I think that Sols is next in line. I'd have him at #10, personally.

    In my heart...I think he is top 7.

    In my head, I have to put him just outside of top 10. The man hasn't beat anyone of note in 7 years! But I thought if he fights like he did against Shane Cameron, he is a danger to anyone in the division!


    Ok Arreola is out!
