    1. Harry Greb
    2. Charley Burley
    3. Carlos Monzon
    4. Ray Robinson
    5. Marvin Hagler
    6. Bernard Hopkins
    7. Mike McCallum
    8. James Toney
    9. **** Tiger 9b. Tiger Flowers
    10. Mickey Walker

Basically a H2H list for me...Greb now resides as my numero uno based on his incredible resume. (That is a change for me...I formerly ranked SRR and Monzon above him...not anymore).

Wildcards who fought at higher weights capable of beating anyone on my list: Jones Jr. Sam Langford, and Bob Fitzsimmons. If I were to rate Jones Jr H2H at middleweight...right up there behind Greb, and possibly Burley.

Great fighter for sure...but not my top 10. My list may have some gaps...but my opinion. Cheers.

I would put Hagler over Robinson at middleweight.

Your list. But the top two, how many rounds in total are available of them on film? Head to head list but you've hardly seen anything of your top two?

Given the names, I think you can make the case. But I believe you are stretching it with 9b. There's nothing to indicate he's one of the very best boxer who has ever lived, really. He was definitely very very good.

Steele is number 4 at least. He beat 8 former or future champs. He had a 60+ fight winning streak. The wheels didn't fall off for him until he he was injured versus Apostoli (who he had previously beaten) and his manager died... and when he had 120 fights under his belt. He was lightning quick, possessed great footwork and devastating power.

All lists in this forum are flawed and utterly meaningless, even mine, the very idea someone can come up with a CORRECT list is simply ridiculous... it is not beyond the realms of possibility any top 10 list could find another 10 guys who would dismantle the first ten in the ring.
