Again, there are no winners and losers in sparring.

And like I said before, I was given a couple offers to turn professional, but I decided to pursue college.

Dude, impressive that you sparred and dropped an Olympic hopeful, but its really not cool to trumpet it around like your some badass, man. Sparring is a learning tool. Would you want some nobody to go around talking about how he kicked the **** outta you in sparring?

Ive sparred and dropped OLYMPIANS, not Olympic hopefuls. I fought Lennox Lewis in the amateurs and lost by only 7 points. I fought Riddick Bowe in the amateurs and was stopped in the 3rd. And Ive sparred world champions training for big fights.

And Im still not as knowledgeable about the fight game as some of these guys. I respect the veracity with which you defend your opinions, and some of them are valid, and some are outlandishm, but you could show alittle more respect instead of braggin about your meaningless, in the long run, achievement.

Other than that, congrats on getting the gel-using wonders girl to look the opposite direction. Most girls I know find Malignaggi attractive.

I give Paulie props because in my opinion he is the best junior welterweight in the world who has one of the fastest hands in boxing today along with a tremendous will to win.

So now not only is edison miranda not black ( i reckon he may be quite surprised by that himself), but joe calzaghe isn't elite :patsch i suppose he aint white either or is that the reason he isn't elite

Jermain Taylor is also a boxer, a former undisputed champion at 160 - still he doesn't know much about the history of the sport as a whole, just re-watch "Countdown to Taylor - Pavlik" - he even admit it...I would go this far as others on this board, including myself, know more about historical background and fights as Taylor.

So even if you are a world-class boxer it does not mean that you know much about the backround of the sport (though, you will most certainly know more about how to fight, punching technique, strategy, training, nutrition and so on)

Joe is Elite. His skills alone warrant that title. But taking a deeper dive in his career you see where many feel he has taken the "EASY" Road. Being undefeated for 10 years and 20+ Fights as a pro is impressive but not as impressive as someone with 1 or 2 losses who actually have legitimate champions, contenders or up and comers on their resumes. Joe is Elite but hasn't tested his skills or talent AGAINST the elite.

Joe is not elite. The only fighter with a pulse that he's ever defeated was Kessler, and that was with a home field advantage.

    :good

Footballers (soccer) know more about the latest Bentley and Gucci handbags for their wife than the history of the game

But from a a technical point of view, they SHOULD know what they are doing

If your talking about Lennox not stopping me as well, he injured his right shoulder in the first. I got lucky. Truth be told, all the elite opponents I lace em up with usually beat me hard.
