True. The real issue I would have is your inclusion of Lewis over Holyfield. Holyfield was never taken out early by ordinary contenders, and he actually fought the best guys of the era when they were still viable threats.

Still, as big a fan as I am of Baer - he's my favorite HW from the early 20th century - his inclusion in the top 16 is questionable.

 

So that's a little different than what people routinely put forth as top ten lists. In that case, my remarks are not really applicable. It is more with the "Lewis is better than Holyfield and there is no debate about it" types that I have issue. To quote a famous comediene - "never mind."

Incidentally, I actually think a prime, prepared Baer would perform quite well in head to head tournaments like this, far better than his relative "ATG" rating might indicate.
