Tito was a beast at MW and was almost a 3-1 favorite..jones and hopins are not the same size when BHOP is at MW and jones is lhw-HW...u can't penalize bhop for staying in the gym and weighing 166 year round...he somked tarver and gave a bigger faster younger JC al he could handle then he embarrassed the #1 mw in the world ....he is FAR from overrated...he has never been beat bad in his life...who else can say that

Guys, I made this list a while back, if I were to re-write it now it would be different. Camacho would certainly be lower and Lopez higher. My lists change all the time, I'm annoyed that this thread has re-surfaced now as I think differently now.

PS: I changed my name as I got tired of morons replying to every single thing I said about any subject by talking about Manny Pacquiao, it became very boring.

    9.Thomas Hearns
(yes, his 147 peak and fights with SRL and Benitez were before 1983, but his career went on successfully long after 1983, in a way that Leonard and Hagler and Duran's didn't, those three were on the way back down after '83, the best periods of their careers were undoubtedly before '83- except maybe Hagler's, but he didn't fight on long enough after 1983 to be considered for this time period IMO. Hearns on the other hand went on from 1983 to beat Duran, fight Hagler, beat younger naturally bigger guys like DeWitt and the previously undefeated Virgil Hill, get the better of SRL in their 2nd fight, and between 1983 and his retirement, he held the WBC light-middleweight title, WBC middleweight, WBO super-middleweight, and the WBC and WBA light-heavyweight titles, before finishing up as a cruiserweight. If the time period was the best fighters from the last 30 years, then obviously Hearns would be higher than 9th place, but I think his post-1983 career justifies his placing here.)

    10.Mike McCallum

    11.Azumah Nelson

    12.Oscar De La Hoya

    13.Manny Pacquiao

    14.Marco Antonio Barrera

    16.Erik Morales

    17.James Toney

    18.Felix Trinidad

    19.Joe Calzaghe

I think of how discrediting it is to leave one very significant fighter off the list i.e. Roberto Duran that it just becomes a kinda fun little thing. I realize how hard it is to make lists.:think

Are you drunk?? Look at my avatar - of course I wouldn't ****ing forget to put the greatest fighter of the last 35-40 years in my list. But the time period is 1983-2008, do you think Duran's post-1983 career was good enough to merit inclusion here? I certainly don't. Nor do I think Hagler's or Leonard's was. I kinda explained this in the paragraph following my inclusion of Thomas Hearns. Check it out...
