Inspired by @Stevie G and his British heavyweight tournament and @Fergy round robin thread . My top 5 heavyweight selection based on these boxers being the best out their competition for the time. But who would beat who if they all fought each other and prevailed on top?

    Jack Johnson
    Joe Louis
    Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali
    Larry Holmes
    Lennox Lewis

I'm thinking it's likely to be a final with either Lewis and Ali or Lewis and Holmes for me? I'm not sure how the other match ups go but I going with the aforementioned for the most wins.

Surprised you actually gave Lewis any win s at all.. Knowing your hatred for Brit fighters.. Well anything British really.

By the way Jack, regarding thinking, kettle pot black. Or do you need me to Google that for you, being on the redneck sloooow side?

I'm gonna give Lennox a shot at beating everyone on the list bar Ali.
It's hard to pick against Ali of course but Lennox and Holmes runs him close.
Joe Louis, hate to say it but he's coming near enough at the bottom, unless he pulls it out of the bag Verses Holmes or Lewis.
Jack Johnson, I don't really see him getting a win here, even tho I rate him highly.

How are you even doing a round robin tourney with an uneven number of fighters?

    Round 1

Holmes defeats Ali by 15 round decision to settle the score once and for all.

Johnson defeats Louis by 20 round decision.

    Lewis has a bye.

    Round 2:

Lewis defeats Johnson by 7th round TKO.

    Holmes has a bye.

    Round 3:

Holmes defeats Lewis by 15 round decision.

    CROWNED:
Larry Holmes, the ultimate HW champion of the tourney

That's an interesting outcome and not totally unprobable. How does Holmes decision Ali and Lewis? Does he jab his way to victory in both bouts? What gives him the edge over the other two?

Holmes does use his jab quite a bit, but he also stands and trades a bit more with Ali, who notoriously took a lot of punches in his fights.

Against Lewis it would be a much more cautious, less trading Holmes, but he would still out jab him nonetheless, and be a bit too quick on his feet for Lewis
