1.) Wladimir Klitschko - Despite outweighing his opponents by 30+ lbs, he's content to jab and grab until they just give up. A joke of a champion. 2.) Andre Ward - I don't think I've ever seen him in an exciting fight. This guy is like Hopkins, except Hopkins has an excuse because he's so old. Clinching, headbutting, holding while hitting -- Ward is continuing the legacy of John Ruiz. 3.) Chad Dawson - Has a lot of talent, but zero heart. Never willing to take risks in the ring despite being so much more skilled than his opponents. I'm still trying to forget his 3 fights against Tarver/Johnson (the first Johnson fight was pretty good). 4.) Bernard Hopkins - He'd be #1 easily, but I realize that he's old as hell, so he drops down a bit. He knows all the tricks in the book for making a boring fight. The most exciting parts of his fights are his fake injuries (see: Jones II, Calzaghe, Dawson). 5.) Miguel Vazquez - Lightweight titleholder who gets the job done in terms of defending his paper title, but is terrible to watch. He's unathletic, goofy, and also takes no risks in the ring. He's content to clinch constantly and is boring as hell to watch. Someone needs to KTFO this stiff. Thoughts?
1) Wlad Klitschko. 2) Bernard Hopkins 3) Floyd Mayweather 4) Chad Dawson 5) Chris John. I don't understand the critique of Ward. He fights inside, outside, connects with a lot of clean punches. He's not the most exciting but you have to really be unable to appreciate boxing to call him boring. Keith
