Thought I'd give a H2H list ago. #1. Muhammad Ali #2. Larry Holmes #3. Mike Tyson #4. Evander Holyfield #5. George Foreman (tie) #5. Lennox Lewis (tie) #7. Sonny Liston #8. Joe Frazier #9. Joe Louis #10. Riddick Bowe Ali, only loses to '71 Frazier IMO. Holmes loses to him too, as well as Ali himself. Tyson loses to Frazier, Ali, Holmes, Foreman & Liston. Beats basically everyone else. Holyfield loses to Tyson, Louis, Ali, Holmes, Frazier and Bowe. If I'm not forgetting anyone, I'd say that's it. Lewis and Foreman are really close. I think a fight between them is a 50/50. I think both get stopped prime for prime vs Holyfield. Tyson loses to Foreman but KOs Lewis, Louis KOs Foreman but loses to Lewis.... &c; &c. I can keep going, but I think I'm showing why they're even. Liston loses to Ali, Louis, Holmes & Holyfield. Well, also Usyk & Fury IMO, but I'm ranking active guys. He's where he because I'm not ranking those. I think Frazier a bit of a dark horse. I favour him over a lot of guys, but it's based on quite large assumptions. I don't mind, though. I pick him to lose to Foreman, Liston, Lewis and Bowe. I can see him losing to Tyson and Holyfield, but I don't think he does. Louis feels too low, but I'd basically pick him to lose to everyone above him. IMO, he beats Liston, Foreman and Holyfield, but loses to everyone else. Bowe, would beat basically anyone not on this list. I have him beating Frazier and Holyfield, but losing to the other seven.
I have most of these guys on my list too, but not in that order. This content is protected 2. Vitali KLITSCHKO 3. Sonny LISTON 4. Lennox LEWIS 5. Riddick BOWE 6. Wladimir KLITSCHKO 7. Larry HOLMES 8. Evander HOLYFIELD 9. Muhammad ALI 10. George FOREMAN I don't see Holmes losing to Frazier. He's not as vulnerable to the left hook as Ali was. Tyson OBLITERATES any version of Frazier, I'd bet my life on that. Tyson is just superior in every possible way. Tyson also beats Ali, far more convincing than Frazier did in 71. Tyson beats Holmes, just like he did in 88, although it might last longer. Tyson vs Liston & Foreman is 50:50, could go either way. Holyfield beats Louis, Ali and Frazier. Louis loses to all of them: Foreman, Lewis, Holy, Tyson. Liston probably loses to Ali, cause Ali was so fast. Maybe even to Holmes. He out-brawls Holy. And he OBLITERATES Louis. I don't see Frazier beating anyone, he does not belong in the top 10. Completely disagree. All 3 beat him convincingly. Liston and Foreman KO him with ease, and Holy beats him convincingly too. I see Bowe beating a lot of them, he's in my top 5. To sum things up, your list is pretty good, although it has 3 major flaws: 1. wrong order 2. you're missing the Klitschkos 3. Louis and Frazier do not belong on the list
He's not the second "greatest", he's just the second "best", meaning based just on H2H, not on resume/achievements.
9 might be a bit low, but he certainly does not crack my top 5. It was hard to rank them from 6 to 10.
No offence but I value his opinion over someone like yours as being somewhat more credible. I could swing it and say that you are a Tyson fanboy, could I not?. If so, then who has more credence? You or a real heavyweight that has actually fought.
