    In a sport based on two men fighting each other I think advancements are overstated.

    Yeah, I'm no latin master, either, but "Non illegitimus parvus carborundum" means "Don't let the little *******s grind you down".

    Ali up to Frazier 2 = enlarged but lesser Jimmy Young with more dirty tricks in his bag . or will a lesser Herol Graham with luck fit d bill better ?
    Jimmy Young = lesser albeit enlarged Pernell Whitaker .
    (1974 and on) Ali = enlarged Hopkins minus d head
    Liston = Rahman
    Folley = Barrett
    Cleveland Williams = taller Darroll Wilson
    Lyle = lesser Ross Puritty
    Patterson , Ellis , Charles = skilled supermiddles/lightheavies fighting at cruiser vs. their own kind
    Shavers , Cream = skilled but clean cruisers paying for their clean style
    Louis = lesser , darker but bigger Kelly Pavlik minus d alcoholism and minus d punch resistance with a tad bit more skill .
